How to Beat The Grim Reaper: Cheating Death
Interacting with the Grim Reaper can be a tense moment in The Sims 4. While direct combat isn't an option, certain collectibles and pack features can influence your Sims' interactions with this iconic character, potentially altering their fate. Understanding these mechanics is key to navigating encounters with the Grim Reaper.
To improve interactions with the Grim Reaper, consider the following:
- Sugar Skulls Collection: Introduced in Patch 41, there are 9 sugar skulls to collect. Originally, these were found by asking Day of the Dead celebrators. After the challenge, you can trigger Day of the Dead celebrators by using the "Leave Sugar Skull Offering" interaction on a grave at night. Completing this collection allows Sims to use the "Honor the Dead" interaction, which grants the "Day of the Dead Celebrant" moodlet. This moodlet boosts interactions with the Grim Reaper.
- Murphy Beds (Tiny Living Stuff Pack): The Tiny Living Stuff Pack introduces Murphy Beds, which can lead to a new death type. This pack also offers lot bonuses for keeping your lot size down.
- Life & Death Expansion Pack: Releasing on October 31, 2024, this expansion adds a spooky new World, playable Ghosts, and two new Careers. It also introduces one non-breedable frog, bringing the total frog collection to 26.
- Freezer Boneys (Reaper's Rewards Event): Introduced in Patch 168, there are 6 Freezer Boneys to collect from the Reaper's Rewards Event. These were obtained by completing weekly quests to earn event points, which unlocked items and prizes claimed through the event tab.
