Manage Hunger, Energy, Traits, Fatal Flaws, Responsibilities, and Relationships in The Sims Medieval. Learn how needs impact your Sims.
The Sims Medieval Sims have two primary needs: Hunger and Energy. To replenish the Hunger meter, you must drink and eat food. To replenish the Energy meter, you must sleep or rest. Consuming higher quality food and drink provides greater Focus buffs. Sleeping in more expensive beds replenishes Energy at a faster rate.
Sims also have needs that are determined by their Traits and Fatal Flaws. For instance, an Adventurous Sim receives a Focus buff when they are outdoors. A Sim with the Compulsive Gambler Fatal Flaw must spend time playing cards daily to avoid a Focus debuff.
Responsibilities are daily tasks that your Sim must complete. Failure to do so will result in a Focus debuff.
Most Sims, depending on their Traits and Fatal Flaws, need to develop and maintain relationships with other Sims. You cannot complete most quest tasks without having a positive relationship with other Sims. Some quests specifically require you to become friends or lovers with other Sims. In certain situations, you may need to make another Sim angry through negative interactions.
