In Thymesia, players can collect various items categorized into four main types: general, story, skill shards, and ingredients. Each category plays a role in uncovering the game's narrative and enhancing gameplay.

• General Items: These include a variety of objects such as Alchemy Enhancer, Bloodstained Dagger, Collection of Memories (Lv1 & Lv2), Forgotten Feather, and numerous keys like Key to Cemetery, Key to Greenhouse 2nd Floor, Key to Plaza, and Key to the Cathedral Path, among others. Some keys are specific to certain quests or areas, like the Key to Plaza used in Hermes Fortress Sub Quest 2 or the tutorial.
• Story Items: This category comprises cores obtained from defeating bosses, specific documents that require alchemy knowledge to decipher, and one special item. Showing these items to NPCs like Aisemy or Emerald can unlock lore entries and grant a Collection of Memories Lv2. Story items include documents like Hermes Answer: Formula Research and Transformation Experiment Report 02, boss cores such as Fool God's Core and Hanged Queen's Core, and special items like Mysterious Crystal or Hermes' Answer.
• Skill Shards: These shards are associated with every type of plague weapon in the game. Information regarding specific skill shards can be found on their respective weapon pages.
• Ingredients: Divided into four types—Health, Energy, Toughness, and Strength—these ingredients can be added to potions to provide various buffs.
  • Health Ingredients: Rosemary, Fennel, and Sage, in increasing order of potency, enhance health recovery.
  • Energy Ingredients: Oregano, Mint, and Thyme improve energy recovery.
  • Toughness Ingredients: Clove, Lavender, and Black Pepper offer damage reduction buffs.
  • Strength Ingredients: Garlic, Basil, and Cinnamon increase attack damage.
