A complete walkthrough for Turok Origins Level Four, "The Ruins." Find keys, Chronoscepter pieces, new weapons like the Mini-Gun and Grenade Launcher, and defeat tough enemies.
Walkthrough
- 1Run forward, kill the Raptor, and cross the bridge. Use the Assault Rifle to defeat the Ancient Warriors.
- 2Continue and defeat the Dimetrodon, preferably with the Automatic Shotgun.
- 3Turn left and walk along the thin ledge to reach six statues. These statues transform into a Warrior, Warrior Priest, Alien MI, Raptor, Leaper, and Pur-Lin. Use the Assault Rifle to target the Raptor, Leaper, and Pur-Lin first, then focus on the others. If they fight amongst themselves, use the Auto Shotgun to pick your shots. Step on the nearby switch to disable the force field blocking the exit. Proceed to the Warp Portal.
- 4Run from the Giant Beetles unless you want Spirit Tokens. Swim across the water.
- 5On the other side, defeat the first Warrior Priest to open a gate to another. Kill the second Warrior Priest to open the next gate.
- 6Use the Assault Rifle for the upcoming section filled with Ancient Warriors. After defeating them, climb the stairs to pick up the first Key for Level 6. Use the Warp Portal behind it.
- 7Turn around and go forward towards the ledge where you hit the switch. Kill the Raptors there.
- 8Locate a house. Find something to jump on near the ground, jump onto it, and then grab the ledge. Take out the Poacher next to the wall and climb up.
- 9Optionally, defeat a Pur-Lin inside the house for Armor.
- 10Go behind the house and hop across the pillars to find the Mini Gun (Machine Gun).
- 11Return across the pillars and turn left. Kill the Warrior Priest.
- 12Jump on the torches around the pillar, then onto the stake with Health on top. This lowers the gate in front of you.
- 13Go through the gate, take a right, kill the Pur-Lin, and continue through the gate that just lowered. Enter the Warp Portal.
- 14Inside, search the right wall for a passage. Kill the two Campaigner's Soldiers in front of a hole.
- 15Enter the hole. Use Tek Arrows to destroy the Queen Leapers, then Pur-Lins. Use your Knife to kill the Giant Beetles.
- 16At the top of the stairs, kill the two Campaigner's Soldiers with the Plasma Rifle and grab the Key behind them.
- 17Exit the cave via a narrow walkway with swinging pendulums. Proceed slowly.
- 18On the trail, reach a temple. Use the Save Point upstairs.
- 19To the left of the temple, kill the Warrior Priest to open a wooden gate.
- 20In the room with Warp Portals, avoid the ones leading to lava pits. The correct Warp Portal is the closest one to the stone structure on the left.
- 21Enter the underground cave. Swim to pick up items, then drop into a maze of pillars.
- 22Walk down corridors and kill the Soldiers.
- 23To find the Grenade Launcher, press against every wall in the maze; one is a fake wall (believed to be on the right side). Inside, you'll find ammo, health, and the Grenade Launcher.
- 24Navigate the rest of the maze, avoiding fire-breathing statues, until you reach a Warp Portal.
- 25Use a ramp to jump onto a large structure with waterfalls.
- 26Battle the Sacred Four (Leapers on steroids).
- 27Hop on the nearby pillar for Chronoscepter Piece #4.
- 28Return to the room with four switches in the corners. Turn on RUN and step on all four switches quickly. Pillars will rise, allowing you to reach the top pillar and a Warp Portal.
Tips
- The Assault Rifle is effective against Ancient Warriors and the initial Raptor.
- The Automatic Shotgun is recommended for the Dimetrodon.
- When facing the statues that transform, prioritize the Raptor, Leaper, and Pur-Lin.
- Campaigner's Soldiers drop Plasma Rifle Ammo from this point forward.
- The Tek Arrows are useful against Queen Leapers and Pur-Lins.
