Item Locations & Farming
Welcome, Overlords! This section is dedicated to helping you locate and efficiently farm the essential items that will turn the tide of battle in Cornia and beyond. Whether you're hunting for powerful gear, crucial consumables, or rare crafting materials, we've got you covered.
Consumables & Healing Items
Consumables are your bread and butter for sustained operations and clutch saves. Always keep a healthy stock!
- Healing Potions (S/M/L):
- Location: Available for purchase at most Provisioners in liberated towns. Early game, check Oulx and Barbatimo.
- Farming Strategy: While not "farmed" in the traditional sense, consistently completing side quests and skirmishes will provide ample gold to keep your stock full. Prioritize upgrading Provisioners in key towns to unlock larger potion sizes.
- Revival Orbs:
- Location: Less common than potions. Often found in treasure chests during main story missions or as rewards for completing specific overworld challenges (e.g., clearing a fortified enemy camp).
- Farming Strategy: Keep an eye out for sparkling spots on the overworld map, especially near ruins or ancient structures; these often contain Revival Orbs or their crafting components. Some higher-tier skirmishes, particularly those with unique enemy leaders, have a small chance to drop them upon victory.
Equipment & Gear
Superior equipment can dramatically alter unit performance. Knowing where to find the best pieces is key.
- Iron Sword:
- Location: Early game, you'll find these as common drops from basic enemy Infantry units. Can also be purchased from Provisioners in Cornia's starting regions.
- Farming Strategy: Replaying early skirmishes like "The General's Plight" (Cornia) can yield multiple Iron Swords, useful for outfitting new recruits or selling for a small profit.
- Knight's Shield:
- Location: Often dropped by Armored units or found in treasure chests within fortified enemy strongholds. Look for these in the northern parts of Cornia.
- Farming Strategy: Engage in skirmishes featuring multiple Shieldbearers or Knights. The "Fortress of the Fallen" (Cornia) is a good early-to-mid game spot for this. Equip units with high Initiative to quickly defeat shielded enemies before they can act, increasing drop chances.
- Elven Bow:
- Location: Primarily found in the Elheim region. Look for these in treasure chests within ancient elven ruins or as drops from Elven Archer units.
- Farming Strategy: Repeatedly clear the "Whispering Woods Ambush" (Elheim) skirmish. The Elven Archers here have a decent chance to drop Elven Bows, and the map is relatively quick to complete.
Crafting Materials
Crafting materials are vital for upgrading equipment and unlocking advanced facilities.
- Iron Ore:
- Location: Abundant in mining nodes found throughout Cornia, especially in mountainous or rocky terrain. Also a common drop from Golems and Armored units.
- Farming Strategy: Establish Garrisons near known mining nodes and dispatch Scouts to gather materials regularly. Replaying skirmishes with Golem enemies, such as "The Stone Sentinel" (Cornia), can also yield a steady supply.
- Fevrite:
- Location: A rarer ore, typically found in deeper mining nodes or as drops from stronger, more unique enemy types like Gryphons or Wyverns. First encountered in Drakenhold.
- Farming Strategy: Focus on challenging optional battles in Drakenhold that feature flying beast units. The "Wyvern's Roost" (Drakenhold) skirmish is an excellent source, though it requires a strong anti-air unit composition.
- Unicorn Horn Shard:
- Location: Extremely rare. These are usually found in very late-game treasure chests, as rewards for completing specific challenging side quests, or as drops from unique, powerful enemies (e.g., Ancient Dragons, specific boss encounters).
- Farming Strategy: These cannot be reliably farmed. Your best bet is to meticulously explore every corner of the map, complete all available side quests, and defeat every optional boss. Some players report a very low chance from the final boss of certain Coliseum challenges.
General Farming Tips
- Scout Dispatch: Utilize your Scout units to gather materials from designated points on the overworld map. Upgrade your Garrisons to increase the efficiency and range of your Scouts.
- Replay Skirmishes: Most skirmishes can be replayed after completion. This is your primary method for farming specific item drops and gaining experience. Look for skirmishes with enemy types that drop the items you need.
- Treasure Hunting: Always keep an eye out for sparkling spots, hidden paths, and suspicious-looking ruins on the overworld. These often hide valuable items or crafting materials.
- Thief Skills: Consider bringing units with Steal abilities (e.g., Thieves) into battle. They can sometimes pilfer rare items directly from enemies, bypassing drop rate RNG.
- Provisioner Upgrades: Liberating and upgrading towns will expand the inventory of their Provisioners, often unlocking higher-tier consumables and basic equipment.
