Learn how to unlock and use Elemental Vessels and powerful Elemental Breaks in visions of mana. Vessels are unlocked in Chapter 5.
Walkthrough
- 1Elemental Vessels are unlocked through story progression. The last two will be obtained in Chapter 5.
- 2Each Vessel unlocks a character class with specific strengths and weaknesses.
- 3Unlock skills on each character’s Elemental Plots using Elemental Points.
- 4Gain Elemental Points primarily by leveling up and gathering Elementites.
- 5Gold Clovers can also be converted into Elemental Points at a one-to-one ratio.
- 6Assign Vessels to the R2/RT button for use in battle.
- 7After use, Vessels go on cooldown; melee strikes can speed up cooldown.
- 8Some Vessels have long cooldowns (e.g., Wood), while others are short.
- 9Set AI companions to use Vessels via their Strategy settings or control them manually.
- 10Using Vessels in combat releases orbs that replenish MP (base value of two) and can be enhanced by Ability Seeds for HP and MP recovery.
- 11To use Elemental Breaks, progress the Elemental Plot to unlock the second tier.
- 12The first node on the second tier unlocks the Elemental Break for that Vessel.
- 13Unlocking an Elemental Break for the first time adds the Mana Gauge to the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)), located to the left of the characters in the lower left corner.
- 14Fill the Mana Gauge by collecting orbs released when using Vessels.
- 15Hold the Vessel button when the Mana Gauge is full to perform an Elemental Break.
- 16During an Elemental Break, magic and moves of the same element deal increased damage and have reduced casting times, and the Vessel's normal effects are enhanced.
Tips
- Always use your Elemental Vessels in combat.
- Melee strikes can reduce a Vessel's cooldown time.
- Ability Seeds can increase MP and HP recovery from orbs released by Vessels.
- Elemental Breaks are significantly more powerful than standard Vessel maneuvers.
- During an Elemental Break, the entire field will be covered with that element, indicating its active state.
