Major Factions

In the vast universe of Warframe, you'll encounter several major factions, each with their own motivations, territories, and unique units. Understanding these factions is crucial for navigating the Star Chart, completing quests, and engaging in the game's political landscape. Your actions can influence your standing with them, opening up new opportunities or creating formidable enemies.

The primary factions you'll interact with are the Grineer, the Corpus, the Infested, the Orokin, the Sentients, and the Tenno (your own faction). Each has a distinct visual style, combat doctrine, and lore that shapes their presence in the game. Mastering your knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses will be key to your survival and success as a Tenno.

Grineer: A militaristic, genetically engineered alien race driven by conquest and expansion. They are known for their brute force, heavy armor, and relentless assaults. Expect to face soldiers, heavy gunners, and formidable bosses like the Jackal and the Lephantis.
Corpus: A technologically advanced, profit-driven interstellar corporation. They rely on advanced robotics, energy weapons, and shields. Their units include robotic drones, heavily armed mercenaries, and powerful executives.
Infested: A biological horror that spreads like a plague, transforming organic matter into monstrous forms. They are characterized by their swarming tactics, corrosive attacks, and unpredictable mutations.
Orokin: The ancient, technologically advanced civilization that predates the current factions. While largely extinct, their legacy, technology, and creations, like the Warframes themselves, are central to the game's narrative.
Sentients: Highly adaptive and intelligent sentient beings, the primary antagonists of the later game. They learn and adapt to your tactics, making them incredibly challenging opponents.
Tenno: You, the player. A mysterious warrior race awakened from cryosleep, wielding powerful Warframes and advanced weaponry.
