Warframe has a player-driven economy centered around Platinum (premium currency) and rare items.

  • What to Trade: Prime parts (from Void Relics), Riven Mods, rare mods (e.g., Primed mods, Corrupted mods), Arcane Enhancements, certain blueprints, and cosmetic items.
  • How to Trade: Trading is done in a Clan Dojo's Trading Post or at Maroo's Bazaar on Mars. You need to be Mastery Rank 2 or higher to trade.
  • Trade Chat: The primary method for finding buyers/sellers. Be specific with what you're selling/buying and your price.
  • Warframe.market: An invaluable third-party website for checking prices and finding traders. Highly recommended for fair pricing.
  • Platinum for Slots: Your starting Platinum should almost always go towards Warframe Slots and Weapon Slots. These are crucial for progression and cannot be farmed.
  • Ducats: Duplicate Prime parts can be traded for Ducats at Baro Ki'Teer, the Void Trader, who appears every two weeks with rare items.

Learning the economy can provide a steady stream of Platinum, allowing you to acquire premium items without spending real money.
