Circuit

The Circuit is a unique game mode introduced with the Duviri Paradox expansion, offering a roguelike experience within Warframe. It's an excellent source for acquiring new Warframes, Incarnon Genesis Adapters, and various resources. Understanding its mechanics is key to maximizing your rewards.

Accessing the Circuit

To access the Circuit, you must first complete the Duviri Paradox Quest. Once completed, navigate to the Duviri node on your Star Chart. The Circuit is one of the three main activities available, alongside The Duviri Experience and Lone Story.

Circuit Modes

The Circuit offers two distinct modes, each with its own reward structure and challenges:

  • The Circuit (Normal): This mode is primarily focused on earning Warframe Blueprints and Incarnon Genesis Adapters. The rewards rotate weekly, so check the reward track regularly.
  • Steel Path Circuit: A significantly more challenging version of The Circuit, offering increased rewards, including Steel Essence and additional Incarnon Genesis Adapters. This mode requires you to have unlocked The Steel Path on your Star Chart.

Gameplay Loop

Each Circuit run consists of a series of randomly generated missions, escalating in difficulty. Before starting, you'll choose from a selection of pre-modded Warframes, Weapons, and Drifter Intrinsics. Your choices here are crucial, as you cannot change them mid-run.

Pre-Run Selection Strategy:

  1. Warframe Choice: Prioritize Warframes with strong crowd control, survivability, or damage amplification. Consider the weekly enemy types and potential mission objectives. For example, a Nezha with Warding Halo offers excellent survivability, while a Saryn can clear rooms efficiently.
  2. Weapon Synergy: Aim for a balanced loadout. If your chosen Warframe is ability-focused, pick weapons that complement its playstyle or cover its weaknesses. For Incarnon Genesis farming, ensure you pick the weapon you intend to upgrade if it's available.
  3. Drifter Intrinsics: Invest in Drifter Intrinsics, especially those that boost damage, survivability, or offer utility like faster traversal. The "Opportunity" intrinsic, which grants additional options for Warframes and weapons, is highly recommended.

During the Run:

  • Decree Selection: After each successful mission, you'll be presented with a choice of three Decrees. These are temporary buffs that stack throughout your run. Prioritize Decrees that enhance your chosen Warframe and weapon's strengths, or shore up any weaknesses. Look for Decrees that offer critical chance, critical damage, elemental damage, or ability efficiency.
  • Mission Objectives: The Circuit features several mission types, including Exterminate, Defense, Survival, and Excavation. Adapt your strategy to each objective. For Defense, focus on protecting the objective; for Survival, manage life support efficiently.
  • Enemy Scaling: Enemies in the Circuit scale in level and intensity with each completed round. Be prepared for increasingly challenging encounters, especially in Steel Path Circuit.
  • Revives: You have a limited number of revives per run. Use them strategically. If you're consistently going down, consider adjusting your build or Decree choices in future runs.

Rewards and Progression

The Circuit features a weekly reward track, similar to a Battle Pass. As you complete rounds and earn Circuit Progress, you'll unlock rewards at specific tiers. These rewards include:

  • Warframe Blueprints: A rotating selection of Warframe blueprints, often including Prime variants. This is a fantastic way to acquire new Warframes without extensive farming.
  • Incarnon Genesis Adapters: These rare adapters transform specific weapons into powerful Incarnon forms. The available adapters rotate weekly, so keep an eye out for the ones you need.
  • Duviri Resources: Various resources specific to Duviri, such as Duviri Steel, Kaithe Dye, and Rune Mithril, are essential for crafting and upgrading items in Duviri.
  • Endo and Credits: Standard progression rewards to help with modding and general expenses.
  • Arcanes: Occasionally, Arcanes can be found on the reward track, offering powerful enhancements for your Warframes and weapons.

Maximizing Progress:

  • Complete Weekly Challenges: Check the "Weekly Challenges" section within the Circuit interface. Completing these often grants significant bonus Circuit Progress.
  • Go for Longer Runs: While you can extract after any successful round, staying for more rounds yields greater Circuit Progress per mission. Balance this with your team's survivability and your personal time commitment.
  • Steel Path Bonus: If you can handle the difficulty, Steel Path Circuit offers a substantial boost to Circuit Progress and often includes more valuable rewards.

Tips for Success

  • Team Composition: While soloing is possible, a balanced team can make Circuit runs significantly easier. Consider bringing Warframes that offer synergy, such as a dedicated damage dealer, a crowd controller, and a support frame.
  • Modding Knowledge: Even though the Warframes and weapons are pre-modded, understanding basic modding principles will help you make informed decisions about Decrees and how to best use your chosen loadout.
  • Adaptability: The roguelike nature of the Circuit means you'll rarely have the same run twice. Be prepared to adapt your strategy based on the Warframes, weapons, and Decrees offered.
  • Don't Be Afraid to Experiment: The Circuit is a great place to try out Warframes and weapons you might not typically use. You might discover a new favorite!
