Kuva Liches and Sister of Parvos
Welcome, Tenno, to the ultimate guide for conquering the formidable Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos! These persistent adversaries are unique to each player, boasting powerful weapons and demanding strategic takedowns. Defeating them rewards you with exclusive Kuva or Tenet weapons, Ephemeras, and valuable resources. This guide will walk you through the entire process, from creation to final confrontation.
Spawning Your Nemesis
The first step to acquiring a powerful Kuva or Tenet weapon is to spawn your personal nemesis. The type of enemy you kill to initiate the process determines your adversary:
- Kuva Lich: To spawn a Kuva Lich, you must defeat a Kuva Larvling. These enemies appear on any Grineer mission level 20+ (excluding Dark Sectors, Assassination, and Archwing missions) after the lights flicker and a unique sound cue plays. Look for a red marker on your minimap. Once downed, a prompt will appear: "Press X to Mercy." Performing a Mercy kill on a Larvling will create your Kuva Lich. The Warframe you are currently using will determine the elemental bonus on the Lich's weapon.
- Sister of Parvos: To spawn a Sister of Parvos, you must defeat a Candidate. These enemies appear on any Corpus Proxima Railjack mission after completing a specific objective (e.g., destroying all Crewships). A Candidate will be marked with a red waypoint. Similar to Larvlings, a prompt to "Press X to Mercy" will appear after downing them. The Warframe you are currently using will determine the elemental bonus on the Sister's weapon.
Pro-Tip: If you don't like the weapon or elemental bonus offered by your potential Lich/Sister, simply ignore the Mercy prompt. The Larvling/Candidate will despawn, and you can try again in another mission.
Unveiling Requiem Mods
Once your Lich or Sister has spawned, they will claim a sector of the Star Chart, influencing missions within it with their unique modifiers and sending their thralls to fight you. To defeat them, you need to discover the correct sequence of three Requiem Mods. These mods are obtained from:
- Requiem Relics: These special relics drop from Kuva Siphon and Kuva Flood missions on the Kuva Fortress, or from defeating Thralls/Hounds. You will need to open these relics in Fissure missions, similar to regular relics, to obtain Requiem Mods.
- Thralls/Hounds: Each Lich/Sister mission will feature unique enemies called Thralls (for Liches) or Hounds (for Sisters). Killing these enemies and performing a Mercy kill on them will reveal a Requiem Murmur. Murmurs contribute to revealing one of the three Requiem Mods needed to defeat your nemesis.
Strategy for Murmurs: Focus on completing missions in your Lich/Sister's controlled territory. Prioritize missions with higher enemy density to maximize Thrall/Hound spawns. Each Mercy kill on a Thrall/Hound fills a portion of the Murmur bar, eventually revealing a Requiem Mod. There are eight unique Requiem Mods: Fass, Khra, Lohk, Vome, Ris, Xata, Jahu, Netra.
Confronting Your Nemesis
After revealing a Requiem Mod, your Lich/Sister will occasionally appear during missions in their controlled territory. This is your chance to test your Requiem Mod sequence. When they appear, you'll need to down them multiple times. Each time you down them, a prompt to "Press X to Mercy" will appear. Performing a Mercy kill will attempt to apply a Requiem Mod from your Parazon (your special melee weapon).
Parazon Modding: Access your Parazon in the Arsenal. You have three slots for Requiem Mods. The order matters! If you use the correct Requiem Mod in the correct sequence, a health bar segment will be removed from your nemesis. If you use an incorrect mod or an incorrect sequence, your nemesis will level up, gaining more health and damage, and teleport away.
Trial and Error: Since you only reveal the mods and not their order, you'll need to experiment. A common strategy is to try different combinations as you reveal more mods. For example, if you've revealed Fass, Khra, and Lohk, you might try Fass-Khra-Lohk, then Fass-Lohk-Khra, and so on.
The Final Showdown
Once you successfully apply all three Requiem Mods in the correct sequence, your Lich or Sister will retreat to their final stronghold:
- Kuva Lich: Retreats to the Kuva Fortress. You will need to complete a special mission node on the Kuva Fortress to confront them.
- Sister of Parvos: Retreats to a specific Proxima region in Railjack. You will need to complete a special Railjack mission to confront them.
In this final confrontation, you'll face your nemesis in a direct battle. Down them three times, applying the correct Requiem Mods with your Parazon each time. After the third successful application, you'll have a choice:
- Vanquish: Defeat your nemesis permanently, claiming their weapon and any Ephemera they may have. This is the most common choice.
- Convert: Convert your nemesis into an ally who can occasionally assist you in missions or be deployed as a defender on your Railjack. You will still receive their weapon, but not their Ephemera.
Congratulations, Tenno! You've successfully navigated the treacherous path of the Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos. Enjoy your new, powerful weapons!
