Companions provide invaluable support in missions. There are three main types:

Sentinels:

Robotic companions that float alongside you. Each has unique abilities and a weapon. Examples:

  • Carrier Prime: Vacuum (collects items), Ammo Case (converts ammo). Excellent for quality of life.
  • Helios Prime: Investigator (scans enemies for Codex), Deconstructor (melee weapon). Great for completing your Codex.
  • Vulkar: Guardian (overshields), Medi-Ray (heals).

Kubrows:

Canine companions bred from eggs. Require an Incubator Segment. Examples:

  • Huras Kubrow: Stalk (invisibility), Hunt (pounces on enemies). Good for stealth.
  • Sahasa Kubrow: Dig (digs up resources), Ferocity (finisher damage).

Kavats:

Feline companions bred from Kavat Genetic Codes. Require an Incubator Upgrade Segment. Examples:

  • Adarza Kavat: Cat's Eye (critical chance buff), Reflect (reflects projectiles). Excellent for damage buffs.
  • Smeeta Kavat: Charm (random buffs, including resource doubling), Mischief (decoy). Highly sought after for farming.

All companions benefit from mods like Animal Instinct (loot radar), Vacuum/Fetch (item collection), and various survivability mods. Choose a companion that complements your playstyle and mission objectives.
