Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Vandham's Last Wish:
    1. Speak with Yew at Garfont in Uraya.
  2. 2
Accept the Merc Mission 'First Mission' from the Merc Group menu.
  3. 3
Wait for the mission to complete (approx. 60 seconds).
  4. 4
Collect the reward from the Merc Group menu.
  5. 5
Report back to Yew at the Mercenary HQ in Garfont, Uraya.
  • Travel to Fonsa Myma: Head to the Fonsa Myma port. Continue past the stairs where you found Pyra, Akhos, and Malos in the last chapter, and go down the stairs to the left of the grand plaza to reach the docks. Speak to Chamomo to travel to Argentum.
  • Travel to Mor Ardain: In Argentum, head to the Goldmouth Flight Deck (above the inn). Speak with Murmur to charter passage to Mor Ardain. Head to the inn and approach your friends. Then, head back to where you spoke with Murmur to depart for Mor Ardain.
  • Stop, Thief!: You will be diverted to Torigoth. Speak to Wold near the port to learn the boy went up the stairs. Speak to Hanahana higher up, then Myron, who points towards the farm. Speak to Millie inside the fence, then Nugby by the vegetable gardens, who directs you to the timber site outside Torigoth.
  • Nocclia Timber Site: The fastest way to reach the timber site is to head to the Traveler's Resting Tree and go east, climbing the roots to the higher level. The timber site is further east. Talk to Otto.
  • Track the Boy: If you have Blades with Keen Eye and Fortitude, you can find the tracks yourself. Otherwise, speak to Otto again, and he will highlight the tracks. Follow them to Umon's Shipyard.
  • Confront the Thief: Enter Umon's Shipyard. The kids will call upon four Latollo Puffots; defeat them.
  • Tips
    • Merc Missions: These are optional but helpful. They can be done in the background and contribute to development, unlock new missions, and provide rewards like Gold, EXP, SP, Aux Cores, and accessories. Some Rare Blades require specific Merc missions for affinity chart completion.
    • Mission Types: Regular missions are green and repeatable; Special missions are pink and one-time only.
    • Dispatching Blades: You can send any Blade except the main one assigned to a party member. The right side of the dispatch screen shows required skills/weapons/types and suggested field skills that speed up completion.
    • Blade Availability: Blades sent on missions are unavailable until they return or are recalled.
    • Finding Tracks: If you lack the necessary Blades for tracking, Otto can highlight the footprints for you.
    • Vandham's Last Wish: EXP 290, Gold 0, SP 0. Merc Level increased.
    • Stop, Thief!: EXP 400, Gold 0, SP 0.
