How to Beat The Mire Lurker Alpha

Master the Mire Lurker Alpha in Absolum. This guide prepares you for its Poison Spit and Tongue Lash attacks and strategies for defeating this Blighted Croaker.

Location: Blighted Mire - Sunken Grotto (Optional, 'The Collector's Cache' side quest)

Description: A massive, mutated Blighted Croaker, highly aggressive and capable of inflicting potent poison.

Phases & Attacks:

• Phase 1 (100%-60% Health):
  • Poison Spit: Fires a glob of poison that creates a lingering puddle on the ground. Avoid standing in it.
  • Tongue Lash: A quick, medium-range melee attack that can pull you closer.
  • Leaping Slam: Jumps towards you, dealing AoE damage upon landing.
  • Summon Mire Croakers: Summons 2-4 regular Mire Croakers.
• Phase 2 (Under 60% Health):
  • Gains 'Toxic Cloud': Emits a large, expanding cloud of poison around itself.
  • Attacks become faster and more aggressive.
  • Leaping Slam creates larger poison puddles.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

The Mire Lurker Alpha is susceptible to fire damage. Vanguards should use a fire-enchanted weapon if possible, block its Tongue Lash, and dodge the Leaping Slam. Shadows can use ranged fire arrows or daggers with fire enchantments, focusing on critical hits to its head. Mystics should utilize 'Firebolt' and 'Flame Nova' spells. Always keep an 'Antidote' on your quick-slot. When it uses Toxic Cloud, create distance. The summoned Croakers should be dealt with quickly to avoid being overwhelmed. Its head is a weak point for critical damage.
