These Shadows are faster, have enhanced melee attacks, and can respawn infinitely as long as at least one living teammate remains. This LTM offers a unique blend of traditional combat and relentless shadow assaults.

The defining feature of Shadow Royale is the 'Shadow' mechanic. When a player is eliminated, they don't stay dead. Instead, they respawn as a Shadow. Shadows are significantly faster than regular legends, have a powerful melee attack, and can respawn infinitely as long as at least one of their original teammates is still alive. This creates a chaotic and relentless battlefield where even fallen enemies can become a persistent threat. Shadows cannot use weapons or abilities, but their speed and melee are formidable.

Living legends in Shadow Royale still play by traditional Apex rules, but they must contend with the constant pressure of enemy Shadows. The objective for living legends is to be the last squad standing. However, they must also manage their own fallen teammates who will become Shadows. The presence of Shadows adds a unique layer of strategy. You might need to focus fire on living enemies while simultaneously fending off their Shadow teammates, or vice versa. Coordinating with your own living teammates to eliminate enemy Shadows is crucial.

The loot pool in Shadow Royale is standard Apex Legends fare, but the emphasis shifts towards managing the constant threat of Shadows. Legends that excel at area denial or crowd control can be very effective. Caustic's gas traps can slow down and damage approaching Shadows, while Wattson's fences can create barriers. Legends like Bangalore can use smoke to obscure vision and make it harder for Shadows to track their targets. The key is to adapt your combat approach to account for the relentless pursuit of Shadows.
