Navigating the oppressive world of Beholder: Conductor requires a firm grasp of its interface and controls. The game's UI is designed to immerse you in the role of a watchful landlord, providing all the necessary tools to monitor, manage, and manipulate your tenants. Understanding these elements is the first step towards becoming an effective Conductor.
The main screen of Beholder: Conductor presents a detailed view of your apartment building. On the left, you'll typically find a list of your tenants, their apartment numbers, and their current status (e.g., rent paid, complaint filed). Clicking on a tenant will bring up their individual profile, displaying crucial information such as their occupation, family members, and any active quests or issues related to them. This profile is your primary hub for interacting with each resident.
In the center of the screen, you'll see the floor plan of the building, allowing you to visually inspect apartments and common areas. You can zoom in and out to get a closer look. To the right, you'll find your inventory, available actions, and the State's directives. This is where you'll access your surveillance equipment, choose to plant bugs, take photos, or initiate conversations with tenants. The bottom of the screen often displays your current objectives, available funds, and the time of day, which plays a crucial role in the game's progression.
