Learn about all the essential tools in Bugsnax, including the Snakpack, SnaxScope, Bug Net, Snaktrap, and more.

Snakpack

The Snakpack is where you carry all the Bugsnax you've collected. You can also free a Bugsnak from it if needed. You can unlock more space to carry your Bugsnax, and you can donate Bugsnax close to Gramble's barn. When you reach the limit, you will open two more spaces, and you can do this until all spaces are unlocked.

Snaxscope

The SnaxScope gives you information about anything it scans, which is then added to your journal (a record of all information about your time on Snaktooth Island). You can scan objects and Bugsnax to get information. From the "More Info" option, you can get the move pattern and a clue about the Bugsnak, as well as learn what the scanned Bugsnak likes or hates.

Journal

The Journal is a record of all information about your time on Snaktooth Island. If you feel lost, this section is your best friend. It contains records about Grumpuses, Bugsnax, quests, tools, clues, and your map.

Bug Net

The Bug Net allows you to pick up and capture Bugsnax that are stunned or sleeping. Remember you have a counter time limit to use the Bug Net.

Snaktivator

The Snaktivator, a device designed by Floofty, can decide the transformations of Grumpuses. You can choose what part you want to change. When Floofty upgrades this device, you can use the gene's memory to repeat changes to any part even if you don't have the Bugsnak. You can unlock random customize feeding with Bugsnax and feed many times as possible to unlock parts to change and get a full transform them all.

Snaktrap

The Snaktrap allows you to capture Bugsnax that walk into its radius. Captured Bugsnax can break out if they're inside for too long. It can't capture Bugsnax that are too large or too quick. It's a trap easy to use: just place it, run, and hide. You'll hear a clock with a light and alarm indicating the Bugsnak is in the trap. It's good for little Bugsnax. You can combine it with a Launchpad to catch Bugsnax mid-air: first, place the Launchpad and fix the target, then put the Snaktrap on the Launchpad and shoot the Snaktrap. You can use sauce on the Snaktrap to lure your favorite Bugsnak.

Sauce Slinger

The Sauce Slinger lets you get Bugsnax to notice each other by saucing them or lobbing a few at the ground to get their attention. Remember to charge the ammunition in the Wambu's farm. Every time you find a new sauce, it will grow in the Wambu's farm. You can find six sauces: Ketchup, Chocolate, Hot, Peanut Butter, Cheese, and Ranch Dressing.

Buggy Ball

The Buggy Ball is a Strabby in a glass ball that will follow your laser pointer. It can push Bugsnax out of their hiding places and can also be sauced to get Bugsnax to follow it. You can catch Bugsnax inside holes. You can use their favorite sauce to lure and distract Bugsnax that interfere with catching another Bugsnak. You can also use sauce on the Buggy Ball to lure Bugsnax.

Launchpad

The Launchpad can launch any traps, Bugsnax, or loose objects placed onto its target. It's useful for reaching flying Bugsnax or far-away platforms. You can throw Bugsnax from its pattern at the Snaktrap. You can use this to jump very high. Use jump + launch at the same time to reach difficult places.

Snakgrappler

The Snakgrappler grabs distant traps and sauces, as well as Bugsnax that are stunned or vulnerable. You can pull some stunned Bugsnax. All Bugsnak snakpods can be caught with this tool. You can open doors, pull Bugsnax, and targets with the special symbol to use this tool.

Tripshoot

The Tripshoot stuns Bugsnax when they run into its wire. It can't stick to loose surfaces like snow, sand, or dirt. The wire also conducts elements like fire and ice. Remember, you can shoot at Bugsnax to stun them, but it requires practice. You can use sauce on the Tripshoot to lure your favorite Bugsnak. You can put the Tripshoot on fire to melt some Bugsnax.
