    From the start, grab the Aku Aku mask and jump onto the TNT box.

    Continue forward, optionally defeating the penguins (avoid attacking them while they spin).

    Proceed to the ice section; breaking boxes here is difficult due to sliding. You can break the box atop the metal boxes by bouncing from another box or by sliding and jumping. Be cautious of TNT boxes while sliding.

    Pass the sea lions (you can defeat them by jumping on them or spinning them) and reach another ice area with Nitro boxes; exercise extreme caution.

BONUS STAGE:

  • Jump to the icy platform on your right and break the two boxes.
  • Slide to the right and jump onto the platform.
  • Collect Wumpa Fruit and break the three boxes by crouching and then jumping.
  • Jump down to the icy platform and then to the next platform.
  • Break all the boxes here and ride the platform back up.

SECRET AREA/RED GEM:

  • Access to this area is through the Secret Warp Room, which is opened by reaching it from the 'Air Crash' level.
  • Slide across the ice past enemies and pits.
  • At the end, go up the snow-covered path to an area with Wumpa Fruit and an Aku Aku mask.
  • Continue and jump onto the ice. If you jump on the sea lion, you can reach two lives above.
  • Pass the outlined boxes and stop before the penguin; do not jump over it, as it is near Nitro boxes. Spin into it or jump on it.
  • Go down to the lower icy platform and hit the ! Crate.
  • Go back up to the last platform and head left.
  • Jump on the metal boxes to get a life and an Aku Aku mask.
  • Return to the right and jump across the metal boxes.
  • Jump onto the metal arrow crates and move right, grabbing lives among the Wumpa Fruit.
  • Go down to where the Aku Aku mask is and jump across the pit to the right.
  • Go under the wooden crusher and down to the next icy platform.
  • Evade the Nitro boxes and grab the life.
  • At the end, jump up to the next platform with the penguin and cross the gap. The metal box will prevent sliding.
  • Jump onto the metal box and hop across the pit.
  • Defeat the penguin, drop to the next platform, and defeat the two penguins.
  • Slide under the wooden crusher and into the two penguins.
  • Climb up the platforms and fall onto two more penguins; defeat them if desired.
  • Slide along the ice and defeat one last penguin.
  • Drop down the pit with the Wumpa Fruit to grab the RED GEM. You will return to the main level below the gem's location. Finish the level to keep the gem.
