Detailed guide for the Slander and Barbarism event in Disciples II: Rise of the Elves, covering enemy spawns, character dialogue triggers, and strategic tips for survival.

This section provides additional help for the Slander and Barbarism event in Disciples II: Rise of the Elves, contributed by Michael Chandra.

Event Triggers and Dialogue:

  • Upon reaching your capital, a Forest Elf requests assistance against the Undead Hordes, offering to guide you to Lord Hyllia. Humans cannot enter Elven Lands directly.
  • Near the Centaur Lancer at the Elven city, Hyllia will approach you. This event is triggered just outside the Mermaid's range, but a summon can trigger it.
  • At the start of Turn 10, the Forest Elf urges you to hurry, stating the Elven city is to the west on an island.
  • At the start of Turn 12, Dark Elf Lyf issues a warning, telling you to stay out of his affairs.
  • At the start of Turn 20, an elven messenger arrives, reporting that the Undead are overwhelming their defenses and begging for help.
  • At the start of Turn 25, Lyf issues a final warning, threatening you if you persist.
  • At the start of Turn 33, Lolleta Greenlief becomes impatient and insists on action, despite Hyllia's pleas. Greenlief does not move until later. Killing Greenlief before Turn 33 may prevent this event.
  • At the start of Turn 45, Lyf becomes enraged, and two powerful groups of enemies spawn: Group 1 (2x Dracolych, 1x Vampire) and Group 2 (2x Werewolf, 1x Wraith, 1x Vampire, 1x Warlock).

Slander Enemy Information:

  • At the start of the mission, there are two groups of 2 Zombies, with one group also containing a Specter. The latter group weakens the Centaur Lancer first.
  • Every 10 turns, a pair of groups spawns: a Specter with 1 Doomdrake, and a Zombie with another Zombie and 1 Specter. This results in 8 monster parties spawning in total.
  • Every 25 turns, a pair of groups spawns: a Necromancer with 1 Death and 1 Werewolf, and a Skeleton Champion with 2 Zombies and 1 Specter.
  • Lollena Greenlief is a level 5 Centaur Lancer, with other elves at level 1. Elves under your control can pass through other elves without being attacked. Hyllia is the only Elf who must survive.
  • The city of Grosshenn is guarded by a Doomdrake and a Dracolych, capable of dealing significant damage. It is advisable to defeat them before Turn 26 to minimize their damage output due to enemy experience gain.

Slander Tactics:

  • This mission features strong units attacking all sides and two capitals. Female healers are essential, regardless of possessing the Soul Crystal.
  • Two Prophetesses are highly recommended. While not strictly necessary for Necromancer spawns, they are crucial for Turn 45 and capturing the capitals.
  • A magic-using unit is required to deal with Werewolfs, Wraiths, and Deaths. Lyf can summon Wraiths, making magic indispensable.
  • Options for dealing with Necromancer groups include Hyllia, a Ranger, a Pegasus Knight, or an Archmage. The effectiveness depends on their level and stats. Deaths prioritize Prophetesses, even if defending, if they cannot kill a unit in one hit.
  • A Death deals 100 damage and poisons, while a Necromancer deals 45 damage, potentially inflicting 185 damage on a healer per turn. Capturing the Capital requires potions, making this a challenging aspect.
