Liquids (Water, Paint, Ink, Wine): These are perhaps the most common mess-spreading items. Found in bottles, containers, or even faucets, liquids can be spilled by knocking over their source or directly interacting with them. Once spilled, they flow and spread across surfaces, creating puddles and stains. The key is to understand how each liquid behaves: water spreads thinly, paint and ink stain deeply, and wine creates sticky, colored patches.

Soaps and Detergents: These items, often found in bathrooms or laundry rooms, create slippery messes. When spilled, they reduce traction on floors, making it difficult for characters to move. They can also create suds when mixed with water, adding a visual element to the mess. Their primary function is to create hazardous, slippery surfaces.
