You will speak with Valendrian and Duncan, who agree to pursue the women. Duncan will provide a [BORROWED LONGSWORD] and [CROSSBOW]. Soris will join your party. Head north and enter the estate. Defeat the Guard, then proceed east to encounter two Mabari. Continue south, defeating more Mabari, and loot the single [DEATHROOT]. Enter the Palace.

Inside the Palace, loot the [BARREL] and defeat the Guard. In the next room, check the [LIQUOR CABINET]. Proceed south to find a [PILE OF SACKS] and a [STORAGE CABINET]. After a cook is knocked out by a friend, continue north. Defeat the Off-Duty Guards and enter the room at the top right. Loot the [WINE RACK] and [BARREL], then head west, defeating another Guard. The room to the left contains an [ARMOR STAND] and two [WEAPONS RACKS]; loot them and proceed north. Defeat the Guard Captain and loot them for the [FENCER'S CINCH]. Check the [CABINET] and continue north.

The first room on the left contains [BOOKS] on [CODEX 117: HISTORY OF FERELDEN: CHAPTER 1] and an [IRON FOOTLOCKER]. The door on the right has enemies and a [WOODEN CRATE]. The second room on the left has more Off-duty Guards and a [FOOTLOCKER], with similar enemies on the right. Proceed through the door at the end of the hall. The south room contains an [ORNATE CHEST], provided you can unlock the door. Inside, you will find an [HEIRLOOM NECKLACE]. Go east and loot the three [JARS] and the [ARMOIRE] in the corner.

Continue east to find a Bodyguard. Defeat them and check the northern room to find a [BOOK] on [CODEX 118: HISTORY OF FERELDEN: CHAPTER 2] and [SHELVES]. The room on the right has a [WOODEN CRATE], and the northern one contains a [VASE]. Open the final door to confront Vaughan. If you accept his offer, the money will be received much later. If you kill him, Shianni will be grateful, and Soris will secure the remaining women. Check the [ARMOR STAND], then pick up Shianni and return to the Alienage. Duncan will invoke the Grey Warden's Right of Conscription, saving you from imprisonment and taking you to Ostagar.
