Discover the secrets of Dragon Ball Legends' endings! Learn about character portraits, instrumental themes, and how your console affects the final scenes. Get the full scoop!
Hey there! So, you've been playing Dragon Ball Legends and you're wondering about the endings? It's pretty cool how the game wraps things up. After you rack up enough points from your level scores, you'll unlock these awesome collage-style pictures that show off the different eras of Dragon Ball Z. It's a neat way to see the history of the series right in the game.
When the credits roll, you'll hear an instrumental version of "We gotta power." As the music plays, you'll see portraits of all your favorite characters scrolling by: Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Gotenks, Mr. Satan, a whole collage of Buu forms, Trunks, Vegeta, and Gogeta. Finally, a portrait of Goku will stop right in the middle of the screen, with "The End" written below it. It's a classic way to finish things off!
Now, here's a little detail that's different depending on which system you're playing on. The very last picture of Goku that appears is actually taken from the CD and instruction booklet cover of the system you're using. On PlayStation, Goku is saluting, like he's about to warp away. On the Saturn, he's also saluting, but his other hand is out, as if he's getting ready to blast a fireball. It's a small touch, but it really makes the ending feel unique to your console.
The instruction booklets themselves are pretty much identical between the PlayStation and Saturn versions, except for that cover picture of Goku, the screenshots inside, and the button layout. All the text is the same, though!
Honestly, I feel like the Saturn version is a bit easier to control. The moves are supposed to work the same way on both systems, but sometimes the PlayStation just doesn't seem to want to cooperate, you know? It can be a little frustrating when you're trying to pull off a special move and it just doesn't register.
Here are a couple of neat visual cues you might notice during gameplay:
- If a character is attacking and lands a hit on an opponent, their portrait will show them with their mouth open, like they're yelling in the heat of battle.
- Conversely, if a character is getting hit, their portrait will show them wincing in pain. It adds a nice bit of visual feedback!
There's also a difference in how energy is handled after a 'Meteo' attack. On the Saturn version, characters either stay at their current energy level or lose a bit after a Meteo. However, on the PlayStation version, everyone's energy meter gets completely refilled after a Meteo attack. Pretty interesting difference in mechanics!
Oh, and a quick shout-out: Super Saiyan Vegeta is just the coolest character ever created! If only he could go Level 3 and ditch that hairstyle they gave him in GT, he'd be perfect!
