Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the Windy Archives, navigate to C-3 to obtain the Black Flame.
  2. 2
Return the Black Flame to the Count to upgrade your skyship.
  3. 3
With the upgraded skyship, travel to the Golden Deer Keep at B-1, the final minor dungeon.
  4. 4
To access the major dungeon, Echoing Library, speak with Wiglaf or Kirjonen to lure away one of the battle ships.

South Sanctuary

  • Monsters: Flame Rat, Medusa Tree, Peach Crow.
  • FOE (Field Obstacle Enemy): Stalking Shadow.
  • Materials: Serpentinite, Rose Quartz.
  • Treasure: Zeus's Wrath at A-3.

The Stalking Shadow FOE patrols in a square pattern. Stay behind them to avoid detection. To fight them, use burst skills or poison to counter their invisibility. They are resistant to ice but take normal damage from other elements.

Windy Archives

  • Monsters: Flame Lynx, Steel Barb.
  • FOE: None.
  • Materials: Hyacinth Petal, Myrciaria Fruit, Thujopsis Root.
  • Treasure: Heretic's Mask at B-1.

To reach the Black Flame at C-3, take one door down, four doors up, and then allow the wind to carry you east. The Black Flame allows your skyship to fly higher, enabling exploration of the Underground Lake. A door at A-1 leads to a nearby chop point and treasure box. You must have accepted the pub request 'Wind Resistance' to obtain Thujopsis Root from chop points.

Golden Deer Keep

  • Monsters: Suicide Hare, White Ape, Eviloid, Purple Anoir.
  • FOE: Golden Deer.
  • Materials: None new.
  • Treasure: Star Chart at A-2.

The Golden Deer FOE is difficult to avoid as it pursues you even through doors. When fighting it, have your front row defend on the first turn to survive its rush attack. Use physical debuffs like 'A's Charm Eye' and 'L's Power Break'. The Golden Deer is weak to fire and volt.

The door at A-1 cannot be opened until after the main story is completed. Your guild's archnemsis awaits at B-1.

Echoing Library

F1

  • Monsters: Proto-Bot, Cruel Slayer.
  • FOE: Cold Watchman, Cruel Slayer.
  • Materials: Wisteria Branch, Yggdrasil Trunk.
  • Treasure: Hauteclaire at B-6, Curse Hammer at D-4.

You must avoid being seen by the guard FOEs while navigating F1. The guards cannot see through walls and do not look backward unless turning. The stairs to F2 are at F-5. After using the stairs to F2 and returning, a Tharsis soldier will ask you to find a book located at C-5.

To fight the FOEs: The Cold Watchman can be snuck up on from behind to prevent them from sounding alarms. They are resistant to all weapon types but weak to fire. The Cruel Slayer can only be fought after a Cold Watchman activates them. The Cruel Slayer is resistant to all weapons and ice, taking normal damage from fire and volt.

F2

  • Monsters: Proto-Hunter.
  • .
  • Materials: Waterlily Leaf, White Apple.
  • Treasure: Pole Stone at F-3, Blast Jar at E-5, Formaldehyde at D-5, Heavy Armor at B-4.

F2 of the Echoing Library is the best location to farm Waterlily Leaf, used to craft Amirta II, which is highly recommended for upcoming boss battles. Similar to F1, you must avoid the guards' gaze to reach the stairs at C-5. To access the treasure at B-4, you must allow the guards to see you, then defeat the Cruel Slayer blocking the path.

F3

  • Monsters: Cursed Shroom, Blue Wallaby.
  • .
  • Materials: Red Jasper, Resin Cylinder.
  • Treasure: Unihorn at C-7, Death Magatama at E-6, Medica III at D-3.

Upon entering F3, you will confront Logre again. This battle is identical to your first encounter, but he will not flee. Use a strong elemental drive skill followed by several turns of weak physical hits.

Beware of the Blue Wallaby normal enemy, as they counter all physical attacks on turn 1. Wait until turn 2 or use magic to defeat them.

Inactive FOEs block paths at B-7 and E-4. To pass B-7, let a guard spot you from the north, then use the nearby door to escape south once the FOEs approach. For E-4, let a guard see you from the south and escape north through a door once the FOEs are close.

The boss of the Echoing Library, the Cradle Guardian, is located at C-4.

Cradle Guardian

  • Level Recommendation: 40-50.
  • Resistances shift based on its face: White (normal resistance to all), Red (strong vs. physical/fire, weak vs. ice), Yellow (strong vs. physical/volt, weak vs. ice), Blue (strong vs. physical/ice, weak vs. volt).
  • Attacks the entire party with strong physical and elemental attacks.
  • Eating a silver or dragon carp fish (found near Cloudy Stronghold) boosts resistance to all 3 elements.
  • Binding its arms, using 'L's Power-Break', or 'A's Charm-Eye' can reduce physical damage.
  • After destroying the main body, the head is weak to all 3 elements but strong against physical attacks.

After defeating the Cradle Guardian, report back to the Count for your next mission. The entrance to the next dungeon is at the northern edge of the Cloudy Stronghold.

Forgotten Capital

F1

You cannot explore much of F1 yet, but you can obtain the Great Tree Key at F-2 to open locked chests. Take the stairs down on the west side to proceed.

F2

  • Monsters: Clawed Mole, Volt Cat, Dragonfly, Venomfly, Bloody Knuckle.
  • FOE: Silent Killer, Scorching Beast.
  • Materials: Life Honey, Aloe.
  • Treasure: Hildebrand at B-2, Amrita III at C-3.

The new section of the Echoing Library requires you to let guards see you to move the FOEs blocking your path. Check the altar at A-4, then descend using the stairs at F-2.

F3

  • Monsters: Evilroot, Magma Beast, Glacier Beast, Cold Claw.
  • FOE: None listed.
  • Materials: Sequoia Limb, Crystal Vine.
  • Treasure: Madora II at B-3, Formaldehyde.
