Continue your Final Fantasy I journey! This guide covers the challenging battles at Grogh Heights and the Walled City of Yardrow, offering strategies and enemy breakdowns.
Training Day
It's time to head North to those new red zones. However, up there are the last actually difficult battles of the game. In fact, one is widely considered to be the most insanely hard battle out there. I am not one of those people who subscribe to that belief, but I am one who knows how to prepare.
Ramza needs to know "Auto Potion" for that battle. I don't know if "Auto Potion" works when you don't know how to use Potion, so I won't risk it. Teach him "X-Potion" as well. Naturally, Ramza will be really weak during this training. Stick to our old training ground of the Mandalia Plains. Since Mustadio can become a Chemist without losing any strength, have him fight alongside Ramza to speed up his training.
While this is going on, you might as well build up Luso and Agrias. Agrias needs to know "Equip Swords" so that she can use non-Sword classes. Teaching her the Monk's "Counter" and the Geomancer's "Attack Boost" should be something you'll want to do someday. Eventually, all Sword Skill characters should follow this path. Luso needs those basic skills like "JP Boost", "Move +1", and "Counter Tackle". Just stick to his Game Hunter skills for the rest of the Chapter.
With all that training, you will certainly have enough money to upgrade your party's equipment. Diamond Swords, Diamond Shields, Black Cowls, Power Garbs – these things don't come cheap. Break that piggy bank open, and then march up to the next warzone.

Strategy
We run into a party of Southern Sky deserters, probably fleeing from the battlefield just to the West. Ramza tries his best to explain that he does not wish to fight, but they just sneer and laugh. It is then that a Chemist notices that Ramza is that heretic the whole world wants dead. With Ramza or his head at least in their hands, they could return to camp as heroes. Then go home. Oh, it's on now!
Your enemy seems like just a low-level team, but these are the best of the best. A master Chemist with Auto-Potion and packing heat is much stronger than a Summoner who can barely control his own power. That Thief truly can be considered a "bitch" without a
