Walkthrough
  1. 1
Fly to Lufenia, a town covered by forest located south of Gaia. Find a landing spot north of the town and walk to it.
  2. 2
In Lufenia, find the magic shop selling Full-Life and Flare spells for your White Wizard and Black Wizard.
  3. 3
Talk to the last person in the east area of Lufenia to obtain the Chime.
  4. 4
Fly west from Lufenia to find the Mirage Tower in the middle of a desert.
  5. 5
Mirage Tower - 1F: Enter the room at the top. Moving north yields treasures including a Tent, 800 Gil, Aegis Shield, 2750 Gil, 3400 Gil, Healing Helm, 18010 Gil, and Vorpal Sword. Take the southwest door to proceed.
  6. 6
Mirage Tower - 2F: Follow the east path to a fork. The bottom path leads to Thor's Hammer, Sun Blade, Dragon Mail, and Gil. Take the top path from the fork to continue.
  7. 7
Mirage Tower - 3F: Enter the room at the bottom to encounter a Blue Dragon (HP: 454) before reaching the warp point.
  8. 8
    Fly to the Flying Fortress.
  9. 9
Flying Fortress - 1F: Go west for a Potion and Gil. Go east for a Protect Ring, Healing Helm, and Gil. The south path leads to the Razer (sword). Take the north path.
  10. 10
Flying Fortress - 2F: Head northeast for Diamond Gloves, east for Ribbon and Diamond Shield, southeast for White Robe and Black Robe, southwest for Adamantite (MUST TAKE), west for Gil, and northwest for Mythril Helm and Cottage. Take the south path to the next floor.
  11. 11
Flying Fortress - 3F: The sphere in the middle provides an overview. East yields a Protect Cloak, Clothes, Gold Needle, and Gil. North offers a Potion, Protect Ring, and Gil. Move west, then take the top path to a room with Sasuke's Blade, 4150 Gil, 3400 Gil, and a Gold Needle. Take the bottom path west to proceed.
  12. 12
Flying Fortress - 4F: Go west, then north at the second junction to reach the next warp spot.
  13. 13
Flying Fortress - 5F: Go straight north to face the boss. (An optional boss, Warmech, may appear from random encounters but is very difficult).
  14. 14
BOSS: Tiamat (HP: 2400) Cast NulAll with your White Wizard on the first turn. Tiamat attacks with Thunderbolt, Poison Gas, Icestorm, and Blaze (Fire), each dealing over 200 damage. If NulAll is unavailable, carefully time your Nul-spell magic. Physical attacks from Tiamat offer a chance to recover. Ensure Temper is active on your main attackers.
  15. 15
After the fight, leave for Melmond town.
  16. 16
To obtain the Excalibur, go to Mount Duergar and give the Adamantite to Smyth in the second room on top.
  17. 17
The Chaos Shrine is northwest of Cornelia. After beating Lich, Marilith, Kraken, and Tiamat, a secret door to the Labyrinth of Time will appear. For the final battle, ignore this door.
  18. 18
In the Chaos Shrine, examine the black sphere in the first room facing the entrance, then step on the panel.
  19. 19
Chaos Shrine - 1F: Head south, then east to find the stairs.
  20. 20
Chaos Shrine - 2F: Go directly east to the next floor.
  21. 21
Chaos Shrine - 3F: Go south, then east to a middle door. Enter to face a Death Eye. The room contains an Elixir and Dry Ether. Examine the tablet in the middle.
  22. 22
Chaos Shrine - 2F: Make your way to the northwest area to proceed.
  23. 23
Chaos Shrine - 1F: Follow the left path west to reach the next level.
  24. 24
Chaos Shrine - B1: Head up and follow the circular path to stairs in the middle. Heal your party before proceeding.
  25. 25
BOSS: Lich (HP: 2800) This Lich is stronger than before. Ribbon is recommended for main attackers. Lich can cast Kill; wear a Protect Ring to prevent this.
