Horizon Festival: The game revolves around the Horizon Festival, where the player aims to defeat Darius Flynt and become the Horizon Champion. Ranking up by winning events earns players wristbands, unlocking higher tiers of competition.

Race Events: To progress, complete Festival Events and Showcase races to increase popularity. Ranking up awards wristbands and unlocks more events. After ranking up, a rival will challenge the player to a Star Showdown, offering a chance to win their signature car and extra cash.

Sponsor Challenges: These are stunt challenges from sponsors, with ten ranks. Completing each rank rewards bonus credits.

PR Stunts: Found at Horizon Outposts, these events (photo shoots, speed traps, skill chain stunts) offer discounts on fast travel.

Location: The game is set in Colorado, USA, featuring a day/night cycle, AI traffic, and other festival racers. Players can engage in speed traps, Street Races, and enter Horizon Outposts.

Collectables: Discover up to nine barn finds and over one hundred discount signs scattered throughout the map.

Music: The game features three radio stations curated by Rob da Bank: Horizon Bass Arena (dance), Horizon Pulse (indie), and Horizon Rocks (rock).

Vehicles: Over 200 cars are available, customizable with performance upgrades and paint jobs. Tuning setups are not included.
