Fishing in Genshin Impact
Fishing is a relaxing and rewarding activity introduced in Genshin Impact that allows players to catch various types of fish from bodies of water across Teyvat. These fish can be used for cooking, crafting, or exchanged for exclusive items and weapons from fishing associations. Mastering the fishing mechanic is key to acquiring these unique rewards.
To begin fishing, players must first unlock the Serenitea Pot and complete the "Exploding Pork Buns in Collaboration" world quest to obtain the "Pool of Cold Thoughts" fishing rod. Once equipped, You can interact with designated fishing spots marked on the map. The fishing mini-game involves precise timing and aiming to successfully reel in your catch.
How to Fish:
- Find a Fishing Spot: Look for shimmering water surfaces marked with a fish icon on your minimap. These are fishing points.
- Equip Your Fishing Rod: Select your fishing rod from your inventory and equip it.
- Cast Your Line: Aim at the water and cast your line. The bait you use can influence the types of fish you attract.
- Wait for a Bite: Patience is key. You'll know a fish has bitten when the bobber dips and a prompt appears.
- Reel It In: Once the fish bites, a tension meter will appear. You need to keep the fish icon within the green zone by adjusting your reeling speed. If the fish icon goes outside the green zone, the tension will increase, and you risk breaking the line.
Bait and Fishing Locations:
Different fish species can be found in specific locations and are attracted to particular types of bait. Experimenting with bait is crucial for catching rare fish.
