Location:
Castle Shimura, Act II finale.
Overview:
This is the final confrontation with Khotun Khan, and he is significantly more powerful and cunning. This is a multi-stage boss fight with new mechanics.
Phase 1: On Foot (Katana)
- Attacks: Uses a katana, similar to a skilled samurai. Fast combos, unblockable sweeps, and a blue-glow parryable attack.
- Strategy: Treat him like a highly skilled duelist. Focus on Perfect Parries and Perfect Dodges. Use Stone Stance. Heavenly Strike and Dance of Wrath are crucial for burst damage.
Phase 2: On Foot (Poison & Fire)
- Attacks: Switches to a spear and uses poison and fire attacks. Throws poison bombs, ignites his spear, and performs wide, unblockable fire sweeps.
- Strategy: This phase requires more evasive maneuvers. Dodge his poison bombs. When his spear is on fire, his attacks deal damage over time. Use Wind Stance to counter his spear, but be ready to dodge his unblockable fire attacks. Ghost Weapons like Sticky Bombs can interrupt his fire attacks.
Phase 3: On Foot (Dual Weapons)
- Attacks: Combines his katana and spear, using both in rapid succession. Even more aggressive, with unpredictable combos and unblockable attacks.
- Strategy: This is the most challenging phase. Stay mobile. Prioritize dodging unblockable attacks. Look for openings after his long combos. Don't be afraid to use your most powerful Ghost Weapons (Black Powder Bombs) to create distance or deal damage. Way of the Flame can be effective if you can land it.
Rewards:
- Significant Legend increase.
