Walkthrough
  1. 1
As soon as the cassette loading disappears, press Circle to cancel the introduction and immediately start moving.
  2. 2
Head to the cupboard on the left of the Front Porch and open the right-hand door.
  3. 3
Grab the Duck using X, put it back with X, and grab the Spare Key with X again. Do this as quickly as possible.
  4. 4
Move right to open the front door.
  5. 5
Walk to the back wall on the right side of the stairs. Get close to the wall to see a "?". Press X to trigger the mechanism and immediately step back to allow the secret panel to swing outwards. If you do not step back, there won't be enough space for the panel to open, and you will not complete the route in time. Restart if this happens.
  6. 6
Inside the secret room, go to the back and pick up the Attic Key on the cardboard box.
  7. 7
Return to the Foyer and walk up the stairs. Do not stop moving.
  8. 8
At the top of the stairs, follow the hallway right, then left, then left again, to reach the Attic door.
  9. 9
Look up as you approach the Attic door and keep hitting X to unlock it as soon as possible.
  10. 10
Climb the ladder and follow the only route through the attic to the end.
  11. 11
Keep looking at the book and tapping X to click on the green diary as soon as you can to finish the game. The trophy pops up after the end of the credits when the home screen is shown again. You can skip the credits by pressing Circle.
Tips
  • Go to game settings: Options/Graphics and adjust Brightness and Field of View to the maximum for maximum light.
  • In Options/Control Options, adjust Sensitivity to the maximum and change Crouch Style to Hold to make it less likely you accidentally crouch.
  • Practice sections beforehand with no lights on to familiarize yourself with the route.
  • Do not switch on any lights, as this will cost precious seconds.
  • Keep the left stick pushed up all the time and keep moving.
  • You need a perfect run with no fumbles with the duck, the panel, or any other interaction.
  • Use a stopwatch to check your timing on different sections.
  • The targets you need to hit precisely are: the duck, the key, the panel, the Attic Key, the Attic door, and the green book.
