Greedfall 2: The Dying World is the second installment from the Greedfall Games. It is set to be the prequel to the well-known RPG Greedfall, which was released in 2019 and made by the developers, Spiders. Greedfall 2 will continue to be developed by Spiders but will be published by Nacon rather than Focus Entertainment. Greedfall 2 will allow fans of the franchise to continue to explore the world of Greedfall, using the same formula players know and love from the original game, but adding new experiences and stories. Greedfall is a known fantasy-action RPG filled with magic and all things supernatural. Players who have played the game will be familiar with the setting and can anticipate the vast amount of secrets around the world that can be discovered. It will also feature the same magic, enhanced action-packed Combat, and a dynamic story-driven narrative that will be shaped around the player's choices.

Greedfall 2: The Dying World was announced on May 18, 2022. A minute-long Announcement trailer was released along with the game's announcement briefly featuring the conflicts and turmoil that occurred at this time, set three years before the original Greedfall game. An additional trailer, The Uprooting, was featured during Nacon Connect which live streamed on February 29, 2024, 7pm CET / 10am PT. Along with the trailer, they announced the anticipated Early Access release date which is set to be available Summer of 2024.

Since Greedfall 2 is the second game in the franchise, players will now be able to return to the world of Greedfall with a fresh set of new experiences, a new story, and new content while improving on the current features of Greedfall 1. The game will still carry the same essence as the original, setting the story in the same universe while keeping the core elements of what made the original great and well-loved. Greedfall 2 offers a new perspective on the setting of the game, setting itself 3 years back before the events of the original game took place, making it a prequel. This time players will get to play as a native of Teer Feadee. The game's returning features and all new features ha
