Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for the "When Courage Fails" mission in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, including chest locations, Korok seeds, and boss strategies.
Walkthrough
- 1Immediately defend the Spring of Courage. Defeat the initial monsters; more will spawn, updating the objective to capture 3 marked outposts.
- 2Head to the western outpost and defeat the Ice Moblin to capture it.
- 3Proceed to the first eastern outpost, then to the third.
- 4Before reaching the third outpost, you'll encounter a Bokoblin tower in an open area. Look left near a tree for a chest.
- 5Clear the tower area to unlock a skull chest.
- 6Climb down and find a wooden chest near the stone wall on the right side of the path.
- 7Capture the third outpost. An Electric Moblin will appear near the Spring of Strength; return to aid Zelda.
- 8After defeating the Electric Moblin, the objective updates to help Zelda escape to a marked location.
- 9As you head south, take the left path after the Octoroks to find a wooden chest.
- 10More monsters will appear as Zelda escapes, updating the objective to bomb trees to block their path.
- 11Bomb the first tree. At the second marked location, before bombing the tree, look left for a white golden chest.
- 12Bomb the second tree. Follow Zelda; the first Korok Seed is found near the gate after bombing the two trees.
- 13A third tree needs to be toppled to block enemies from the west. The yellow flower for the next Korok is next to the gate.
- 14Zelda will stop, revealing the rest of the map. The objective updates to defend Zelda while she recovers.
- 15After Zelda recovers, the objective is to escort her to a targeted location. First, hunt for Koroks.
- 16Proceed east from Zelda's recovery area to a large outpost-like area. Two Koroks and two chests are nearby.
- 17Pass through the outpost and turn left after the gate to find a balloon in a corner; hit it for a Korok Seed.
- 18Take the small northern path to find a white gold chest at the end.
- 19Head south and find another chest in an opening on the left.
- 20Return to Zelda and look right to find another Korok Seed.
- 21After getting the white gold chest, return and find a glowing spot on the ground to reveal a Korok.
- 22Clear the east path and head south.
- 23Proceed and defeat enemies near a Bokoblin tower on the left to unlock a skull chest. Defeat Wizzrobes to replenish magic.
- 24Instead of heading west, go east to find a Korok and a chest near an outpost.
- 25Near the outpost entrance, go right to find a pinwheel on the end of the path for a Korok Seed.
- 26Return to the entrance, head left, and use Magnesis to retrieve a buried chest near trees.
- 27Head to the targeted location and clear the path for Zelda.
- 28A cutscene triggers, and the objective updates to investigate a relic.
- 29Advance and find a stone chest near a stone wall. Break a crate near a tree on the left for a Korok Seed.
- 30Interact with the relic to drain water and open the path.
- 31A Blue Hinox will appear. Defeat it to complete the mission.
