Master the Pool 1-Shot Challenges in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. This guide covers Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties with detailed strategies and tips.

This guide details how to complete the 1-Shot Challenge in the Pool minigame in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The challenges are divided into Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties, with Easy being available from the start. Completing challenges on one difficulty unlocks the next.

Easy 1-Shot Challenge

The Easy difficulty features three straightforward shots. The first two shots involve using the wooden obstacles and pockets, while the third introduces ramps.

Easy 1

For the first shot, aim to bank the cue ball off the top side of the table to hit the red ball into the corner pocket. There are two 8-balls near a wooden obstacle, and the red ball is close to a corner pocket. Be careful not to hit the cue ball too hard, as it could go into a pocket or hit an 8-ball.

Easy 2

In the second shot, the red ball is near a side pocket, with two rows of 8-balls. Aim the cue on the right side of the table and bank it to hit the red ball. Use the left analog stick to aim the cue ball and consider hitting it slightly lower than default for backspin to stop the cue ball's movement, provided you don't hit it too hard.

Easy 3

The third Easy challenge introduces ramps. The red ball is beyond a ramp, with the target pocket also in front of you. Aim to hit the ball hard enough to clear the ramp and another obstacle, but not so hard that the cue ball flies off. A strength of around 3/4 should be sufficient.

Normal 1-Shot Challenge

The Normal difficulty introduces yellow balls, which can be hit and sometimes are necessary to sink the red ball. These shots are more challenging but generally manageable.

Normal 1

This shot requires you to hit the cue ball over a ramp to strike a yellow ball, which then needs to go down the side of the table and hit the red ball into the pocket. Aim slightly left of the center of the ramp and use about half power, making adjustments as needed. The goal is to have the yellow ball travel straight down the side of the table.

Normal 2

The red and yellow balls are near the bottom of the table, surrounded by wooden walls and 8-balls. The red ball is in front of a ramp. Aim at the bottom of the table and hit the yellow ball head-on with around half power. The yellow ball should bounce off the upper wooden wall, hit the red ball, and send it over the ramp into the pocket. Avoid hitting the cue ball too hard to prevent the red ball from flying off the table.

Normal 3

This shot involves hitting the cue ball straight up the first ramp, off the left wall, and then over a second ramp on the other side to hit the red ball near a corner pocket blocked by 8-balls. Hit the first ramp in the dead center with full power. Be aware that there is some RNG involved, and the cue ball may stray off course at the second ramp, so having extra tries is beneficial.

Hard 1-Shot Challenges Guide

The Hard difficulty presents increasingly difficult trick shots, with the second and third shots involving a degree of luck, while the first is less challenging.
