Walkthrough

    Eat Pete's hand by pressing (R2) a few times to complete the 'Pound of Flesh' story quest.

    Head towards the grotto; turn left from the start and find the first landmark in a small alcove on your left. Bite it with (R2) to destroy it.

    Continue West, using your sonar, and find a Nutrient Cache. Approach the glowing red front and bite it to open.

    Open your map and look northwest for a small island. Use sonar to find a License Plate near it. Swim fast towards the land where the plate is, jump onto land with (X) near the plate, and bite it with (R2). Be quick to avoid suffocating and return to the water to regain O2.

    Head Northeast towards the quest marker for the grotto. Follow the glowing tube down to find it.

    Upon reaching the grotto, you will earn the Sonar evolution and complete the 'Cradle to the Cave' quest, fulfilling objective #2 for the area.
Tips
  • The game auto-saves periodically, but the most reliable way to save is by visiting your grotto.
  • After completing 'Cradle to the Cave', you will earn Trophy #8 - Adaptation.
  • Nutrients are gained by eating wildlife, humans, destroying boats, and completing quests. They increase your Level and upgrade Evolutions.

  • Press (R3) (clicking the stick) underwater to 'Focus Threat' on nearby hostile wildlife and divers.
