What is it?

The MARATHON SPOILER GUIDE (MSG) is a compilation of collected knowledge for the games 'Marathon', 'Marathon 2: Durandal', and 'Marathon Infinity', all produced by Bungie. Much of the information has been contributed by others, with credit given where appropriate. The MSG primarily aims to reveal secrets, offer hints for completing the game, and guide you to hidden areas. Reading further means you accept the risk of spoilers.

How to use the MSG

The MSG is organized into three main parts: Marathon, Marathon 2, and Marathon Infinity. Within each part, sections are dedicated to individual levels, preceded by a title line with the level name following an equals sign (e.g., '=Arrival'). To find information on a specific level, search for its name preceded by '='. You can determine the current level name by switching to map mode (default key: 'm') and looking at the top of the map.

Level numbers are also provided. To jump to a specific level, hold down 'command' and 'option' while pressing 'Begin New Game'. A dialog box will appear where you can enter the desired level number. Note that in Marathon 2, level numbering starts at 1, unlike Marathon which starts at 0.
