Walkthrough
- 1From the starting area with two cameras, a guard, and two doors, proceed to the southeasternmost door on the floor.
- 2Head up to the next screen where you'll find a flashing white floor and a control box.
- 3Big Boss will contact you; use your REMOTE-CONTROLLED MISSLES (F2) to destroy the control box, deactivating the electric floor.
- 4Cross the deactivated floor to the next screen.
- 5On this screen, there are two guards and a door on the east wall. Defeat the guard walking east.
- 6Use CARD 1 (F3) to enter the door and rescue the third POW. He will inform you that resistance member Diane can be contacted on frequency 120.33.
- 7Exit the room and head north to the next screen.
- 8Ignore the elevator guarded by two guards for now and head west.
- 9On the next screen, three guards patrol. Stay lined up with the wall to avoid detection.
- 10Defeat the two guards that approach you by punching them.
- 11Enter the door on the north side of the room. Wait for the guard on the west side of the room to move south, then use CARD 2 (F3) to enter.
- 12Inside, you will find the CARDBOARD BOX. Exit the room.
- 13Upon exiting, you'll encounter two guards, one in the south and one in the west. Defeat both.

- 17Exit the rooms and head west, returning to the elevator area.
- 18Beware of the camera and head south down the right path.
- 19Use CARD 2 (F3) to open the door and rescue the fourth POW.
- 20Return to the elevator guarded by two guards. Defeat them and use CARD 2 (F3) to enter the elevator. Take it down to the second floor.
- 21Upon exiting the elevator, avoid the two cameras on the left side of the room by using the crates. Head to the next screen.
- 22On the next screen, wait for the wandering guard to fall asleep, then defeat him. Head south.
- 23You will encounter laser traps (peach colored walls with gray lines). Navigate them carefully: from the top center, go down until you hit a wall, turn right until you hit a wall, then go down to the next screen.
- 24On the next screen, go down from the entrance. When you reach the second and third laser trap walls, go between them. Then go down until you hit a wall, go right past three laser walls, then up past two laser walls. Go right until you are in front of the door.
- 25Use CARD 1 (F3) to enter the room and rescue the fifth POW. Your star rank will increase to two stars.
- 26Exit the room and navigate back through the laser traps to the screen with the sleeping guard. Defeat him again and head up the left path.
- 27Go left again to a screen with three guards. Defeat them one at a time by observing their patrol patterns.
- 28Proceed down the path on the southwest part of the room.
- 29Avoid the security camera and enter the door on the right to find AMMO.
- 30Exit that room and enter the room on the left to find PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES.
- 31Exit that room and head back to the elevator. Take it to the first floor.
- 32Upon exiting the elevator, defeat the two guards patrolling around three tanks and head south.
- 33Avoid the three cameras (two on the right, one on the left) using the crates. Use CARD 2 (F3) to enter the room on the left and rescue the sixth POW. He will mention Grey Fox being confined in a secret cell.
- 34Exit the room and head south.
- 35On the next screen, do not move. Defeat the guard on the left, then the guard on the right when he is not looking.
- 36Use CARD 2 (F3) to enter the door on the right and find the SUB MACHINE GUN.
- 37Exit that room and use CARD 1 (F3) to enter the door on the left to rescue the seventh POW.
Tips
- Your star rank increases with every five POWs rescued. Killing a POW decreases your rank by one. A higher rank allows you to carry more equipment and AMMO.
- Unlike in Metal Gear Solid, your CIGARETTES will not detect the laser traps in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
