Route: Collect checkpoints in any order. Start by going left, then right, heading west. Follow the trail onto the ridge road (narrow two-lane street on the north side of LA through the woods). Be careful of telephone poles. Continue on the four-lane road, turn left at the last checkpoint. Use nitro after the last checkpoint. Make a left at the next intersection and follow the street to the finish.

Reward: 1971 Bestia.

Opponent: Diego (Angel's father).

Race Description: Starts with a jump into a canal. Race down the canal to the last bridge, then turn onto the street to finish. The course favors muscle cars. Keep speed up.

Dam Jump: Take either of the two big ramps or the lower ramps on either side. The right big ramp is recommended as Diego may crowd the left. Small ramps are slower. To gain an advantage, knock Diego off course at the dam so he hits the wall.

Hazards: Watch out for the jump under the second bridge after the dam, as it can cause a wreck. Slow down when exiting the canal to avoid crashing into buildings.

Shortcut: Aim for the orange finish line while in the canal, use nitrous to jump over the canal lip and a building, landing at the finish.

Reward: Interna.

Race Description: Angel cheats at the start by zooming away. Catch him by following checkpoints on bridges over canals. Be careful of oncoming traffic.

Hazards: A truck will swerve onto the road after the last bridge checkpoint. In the industrial sector, two trucks will block the long straightaway after the checkpoint before it.

Shortcut: After the checkpoint before the long straightaway, use nitro. Hit the next checkpoint, then head for stairs leading to a building. Crash through the glass doors and go down the hall for a shortcut. Zip across the parking lot and through the stadium area.

Final Stretch: After the first checkpoint exiting the stadium, turn right onto a small two-lane street. At the end of this road, make a quick right into the entertainment district to reach the finish line.
