  3. Slide or Dive: Press R+X (if close to the first down marker).
  4. Spin Move: Press R+B.
  5. Hurdle: Press R+Y.

Maximum Passing:

  1. Turn on Maximum Passing in the options menu.
  2. Right before throwing, press the direction relative to the receiver for desired placement (e.g., behind, up, down).
  3. Hold the direction longer to lead or under-lead the pass.
  4. Do not press a direction for a normal pass.

Catching a Pass:

  1. Select Receiver: Press B for the receiver closest to the ball.
  2. Dive for Pass: Press X.
  3. Catch/Jump for Pass: Press Y.
  4. Controlling Receiver: While not necessary, controlling a receiver increases the chance of a catch.
