Walkthrough
- 1Naples Research Center - Checkpoint: Proceed down the hall.
- 2Common Area: Explore the area. Collect a Rusty Coin (21/23) from a couch, find an Energy Drink in a locker, HPA on a shelf, a Tub, Coffee Maker, Vending Machine, Workbench, and a Health Drink and Beer on the center table. You can spend Rusty Coins on Legendary guns. Take the path right of the Vending Machine, turn right for Scrap and HPA, then turn around and go right again. Note the code part on the back of a whiteboard in the hall.
- 3Botany Wing: Collect Scrap near desks, a Chemical, and the Riot Vest armor. Find [Biochemical Analysis]. Go right from the large red growth to a freezer. Collect Scrap on the floor near a safe, a Block of Ice on a table, and HPA on a shelf. Return to the Common Area and take the path left of the lockers.
- 4Manager's Key: Turn left, use the sink to melt the Block of Ice and obtain the Manager's Key. Find the Scrubbed costume on a shelf next to the sink. Return and go left towards the stalagmite.
- 5Geology Wing: Collect Scrap to the right of the stalagmite. Enter the nearby room. Collect Scrap, a Backpack, a Chemical, [Sample 062582], and more Scrap. Return to the Common Area.
- 6Code Entry: Go down the hall you first entered from and input the code 062582#. Inside, find a Weapon Manual. Take the path next to the Vending Machine, go left, and unlock the manager's door. Collect Scrap next to the desk and use the wall switch to clear toxic gas. Exit the office, go right, and follow the path with tails. Collect Scrap next to a desk with a chair. Go left at the glass wall for a Rusty Coin (22/23). Go through the broken window for a Knight Statue (12/14) and the other code part on a whiteboard. Return to the Common Area.
- 7Biology Wing: Go down the hall next to the Tub. Enter the room on the right for [Chimera]. Leave and go right, entering code 062279# at the door. Turn around, go right for an Incendiary Grenade. Enter the nearby room and find HPA in a desk.
- 8Emergency Specimen Eradication: The computer allows you to start the Emergency Specimen Eradication challenges (ten total). Rewards can be collected from lockers in this room. Completing all ten unlocks the "Exterminator" achievement. Save between challenges, especially after #5.
- 9Challenge #1: Enemies: Skitterer x2, Giant Skitter, Mangler x2. Reward: Frost Grenade.
- 10Challenge #2: Enemies: Clinger, Tentaclaw, Octoterror, Pterashark. Reward: Rusty Coin (23/23).
- 11Challenge #3: Enemies: Splittercrab x3, Splittercrab Egg x3. Reward: Incendiary Grenade.
- 12Challenge #4: Enemies: Bloatjaw x2, Retchkin x2. Reward: Gigantic Vest armor.
- 13Challenge #5: Enemies: Octoterror, Kraken's Arm, Great White Pterashark. Reward: Sadist (gun attachment).
- 14Challenge #6: Enemies: Octoterror, Latching, Juvenile Stalker. Reward: 50 HPA.
- 15Challenge #7: Enemies: Bloatjaw, Retchkin x2, Grasper x2. Reward: Rush (armor attachment).
- 16Challenge #8: Enemies: Retchkin, Juvenile Stalker, Drainling x2. Reward: Marathon Vest armor.
- 17Challenge #9: Enemies: Titan Splittercrab, Bloodclutch. Reward: Majestra (gun attachment).
- 18Challenge #10: Enemies: The Caustic Crown. Strategy: Break armor first, then attack. Avoid acid pools by moving to the middle, then climb stairs to attack. Focus on spawned enemies. Repeat. Consider NG+ or Disassembling for easier completion. Reward: Undercover costume.
- 19The Misgiving Throat: After the challenges, take the elevator.
- 20Site A07 - Base Camp: Explore the area. Find Scrap, a Weapon Manual (NG+), Frost Grenade, Cookies, Tub, Coffee Maker, Workbench, Energy Drink, and a Save Point. Go down the tunnel for Scrap.
- 21The Trembling Palate: Approach the enemy. Enemies: Phorid Drone x2. Note: Phorid Drones summon allies, including Phorid Aurum, for Beastiary entries. This is a good farming spot. Light eighteen Torches in the area to complete a Challenge (they reset on reload). Light the first torch after the initial battle.
Tips
- Bring a gun that can break armor for Challenge #10.
- Save frequently, especially between challenges.
- The Torches in The Trembling Palate must be lit in one continuous session.
- Consider returning to Challenge #10 in NG+ if you struggle.
