Following clues from Werites Beacon, your path will lead you to the Bandit's Lair. This area is likely a dungeon-like environment. Be prepared for potential encounters, though the game's primary focus is investigation. Navigate through the lair, looking for ss of Shirley or her captors. You will encounter Moses Sandor, the leader of a group of mountain bandits, who initially attempts to kidnap Shirley. After a confrontation, he will eventually join your party, providing new skills and insights. The Bandit's Lair may contain Chaotic Zones (purplish spherical areas) with stronger enemies and hidden treasures. Use your Sorcery Scanner (L2) frequently to uncover hidden paths or items. The lair will also likely feature Puzzle Booths (green Duct platforms) that require the Sorcery Ring (R2) to solve. Successfully navigating the Bandit's Lair will advance the plot significantly, bringing you closer to Shirley.
