In Overwatch 2, Cosmetics are items that allow players to personalize their heroes and profiles without affecting gameplay. These can be acquired through the Battle Pass, Challenges, or purchased using Overwatch Coins, Credits, or Competitive Points in the in-game shop. There are over 4000 cosmetics available, with more than 2000 added during various events.

Types of Cosmetics

• Player Icons: Avatars displayed to friends and groups.
• Name Cards: Backgrounds for player profiles.
• Player Titles: Subtitles displayed under a player's username, obtained through Challenges or Battle Pass Prestige Tiers.
• Skins: Modify hero appearance, sometimes including altered voice clips.
• Emotes: Actions or poses heroes perform in-game, accessible via the Communication Wheel.
• Weapon Skins: Exclusive skins for a hero's weapon.
• Souvenirs: Objects displayed with emotes.
• Weapon Charms: Items that can be hung on a hero's weapon.
• Victory Poses: Customizations for how a hero stands on the victory screen.
• Voice Lines: Phrases heroes say, audible to nearby players, used via the Communication Wheel.
• Sprays: Images that can be applied to surfaces.
• Highlight Intros: Custom animations for Play of the Game, Progression pages, or Highlights.
• Weapon Variants: Different materials for hero weapons, purchasable with Competitive Points.

Rarity and Cost

Cosmetics have varying rarities and costs:

• Common: 25-100 Credits or 25-100 Overwatch Coins. Includes Sprays, Voice Lines, and Player Titles.
• Rare: 75 Credits or 300 Overwatch Coins. Includes Player Icons, Skins, Voice Lines, Victory Poses, and Player Titles.
• Epic: 250 Credits or 700-1000 Overwatch Coins. Includes Skins, Emotes, Victory Poses, Highlight Intros, and Player Titles.
• Legendary: 1000 Credits or 1900 Overwatch Coins. Includes Skins, Weapon Skins, and Player Titles.
• Mythic: Unlocked at Level 78 of the Premium Battle Pass using 80 Mythic Prisms. Includes Skins and Weapon Skins.

Note: Credits are earned through Battle Pass progression. Overwatch Coins are purchasable or earnable. Mythic Prisms are earned through the Premium Battle Pass.

Hero Customization

The Hero Gallery allows players to customize heroes, view unlocked items, and purchase new ones using Coins or Credits. You can select a hero, view their available cosmetics, and equip or unlock them.

Seasonal Cosmetics

Skins from past seasonal events in Overwatch 1 are available for purchase with Credits year-round and may appear in shop bundles. Seasonal cosmetics are marked with icons representing events like Anniversary, Archives, Summer Games, Halloween Terror, Winter Wonderland, and Lunar New Year.
