As you progress through Hau'oli City, you'll eventually be called by Hau, who will lead you to the Alola Tourist Bureau. Inside, speak with the clerk to receive the Poke Finder for free. The other clerk runs the Loto-ID Center, where you can participate daily for a chance to win prizes. Afterward, speak with the scientist in the bottom left corner. If you have recorded 10 different Pokémon in your Pokedex, he will reward you with 10 Ultra Balls.

After leaving the bureau, a man will explain how to use the Poke Finder. He'll direct you to a crack in a wall, where you can use the Poke Finder (press 'R' or click the icon on Rotom's map) to take photos. You can take up to six photos of a single Pokémon. After taking photos, you'll select one to 'upload,' which earns 'Thumbs-Up' based on picture quality. Accumulating Thumbs-Up will upgrade your Poke Finder.

Female characters can also change lip colors, with options for No lipstick, Nude Pink, Coral Orange, Bright Pink, Summer Red, Deep Burgundy, and Icy Blue.

To purchase new clothing, speak with the clerk in the back right corner. The store offers a variety of male and female clothing options, including shirts, pants, socks, hats, and eyewear. Prices range from $300 for Crew Socks to $7900 for Trilby Hats.
