Navigate the Orlop Deck and uncover the fates of Ship's Steward Zungi Sathi and Gunner's Mate Olus Wiater in this Return of the Obra Dinn walkthrough.
You're back on the Main Deck of the present-day Obra Dinn. From where Lau and Pasqua's holograms are, go aft to the stairs, turn right, and go port a little. Turn around and go downstairs to the aft Gun Deck, then turn around and go port behind the aft stairway. Go downstairs back to the Orlop Deck, turn right, and go a little aft to the steering tiller. Follow the blood trail by turning right and going port, then turning right again and going fore through the Port Walk until you reach a skeleton wearing steward's clothing. Approach the bones to bring up the Memento Mortem and activate it.
- 1The scene begins with heavy breathing and muffled noise, followed by Captain Witterel shouting about something heading for the lazarette. First Mate Hoscut shouts to shoot it, followed by a gunshot and blood splatter. You are now in front of a guy shot from behind a wall.
- 2Zoom in on the shot man. His profile is dark-skinned and appears Indian, wearing steward's clothing. ID him as "Ship's Steward Zungi Sathi" (#27).
- 3Exit the sketch. From Sathi's location, go fore to the walkway's window and look through it to see Hoscut being handed a gun.
- 4Continue fore to the far end of the walk, turn right, and look through the window to see Christian Wolff being helped by the future gun victim.
- 5Zoom in on the guy to your right and bring up the sketch. He helped Wolff and handed guns to Hoscut. By his uniform, he is the gunner's mate with the Polish accent heard previously. ID him as "Gunner's Mate Olus Wiater" (#15).
- 6Exit the sketch. Turn around and go aft past Sathi to the window and look through it from the aft side to trace the bullet to the shooter, who appears to be wearing a striped shirt.
- 7Go aft past a few windows to the one riddled with spikes. Look through it to see Butcher Emil O'Farrell.
- 8Continue aft past O'Farrell's corpse to the window at the far end. Look through it to find a man looking at papers in the Purser's Office.
