Guide to Scarlet Nexus Kasane Randall's Phase 9 and 10, covering the Mizuhagawa boss fight and the Arahabaki Secure Sight.
Walkthrough
- 1From the world map, travel to Mizuhagawa and proceed to the Yugiri Great Bridge.
- 2Enter the construction site, fight your way to the elevator, save your game, and ascend.
- 3Prepare for a boss fight against two opponents. One uses sound wave confusion tactics, while the other transforms into allies and uses their abilities.
- 4Focus on defeating the sound wave user first. Use invisibility and psychokinesis (PK) attacks, switching to Arashi or Shiden to recharge your psychokinesis gauge when needed. Continue until you can perform a brain crush on one of them.
- 5When either boss reaches 25% health, Yuta will copy Kodama's powers, resulting in two sound wave users. If they take too much damage, they will unleash a powerful area-of-effect (AOE) attack with sound waves across the battlefield. Keep running and jumping to avoid these waves. Being hit will trigger a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) attack that severely damages your party.
- 6Before they can attack again, use Hypervelocity to heal, but prioritize avoiding hits.
- 7Continue attacking until you can brain crush one of them repeatedly.
- 8When one boss reaches 25% health, both will use Brain Field simultaneously. To survive this, run and use Arashi or Kagero's Super Advanced System (SAS) to avoid them until the timer expires.
- 9Resume your assault. Both bosses will now be in Brain Drive.
- 10Defeat the first boss (ideally Yuta). You can use Brain Field now, especially if you have damage reduction skills and can attack with zero risk.
- 11Finish off Yuta using the Kagero + PK attack method.
- 12After the cutscenes, proceed straight ahead.
- 13Use the world map to travel to Suoh. Watch the scenes; a new location will be added to your world map, which you should visit next.
- 14In Arahabaki Secure Sight, advance forward and lower the bridge using a special action.
- 15Defeat the Others (enemies) and proceed to the next area. Some branching paths may require invisibility or Hypervelocity to access.
- 16You will encounter an ambush; defeat the enemies and use the blue terminal to proceed.
- 17Navigate past moving floors and fight more Others, including a new type of Sabbat that releases confusing fumes. Its weak spot is its nose, which is only exposed after attacking. You can defeat it with normal tactics using SAS.
- 18Continue forward, encountering more moving floors with Base paws firing at you. Use Kagero's invisibility and PK or Arashi to deal with the Base paws.
- 19You will encounter a red barrier that requires Arashi to pass through.
- 20Proceed to the next area.
- 21In Hallowed Grounds, defeat the enemies, lower the bridge, and activate the terminal.
- 22Go south, activate a terminal, and return to the center to fight two Yawns, a new enemy type with weak points on their backs that deal significant damage.
- 23At a fork in the path, both routes lead to the same area with Base paws. Deal with them and defeat the group of Others that ambush you.
- 24In the next section, defeat the strong Others, including the new Sabbat and two Yawns. Brain Field can be effective here if you have anti-damage skills.
- 25Optional areas contain enemies and items/data spots.
- 26In the Worship Hall, fight your way to the central terminal and activate it to open one of the gates.
- 27Take the southwest path to reach another terminal. Use invisibility to get through and defeat the Others, including two Spawn Yawns. Activate the terminal.
- 28Follow the upstairs path past a doorway requiring Kagero to reach another terminal.
- 29Defeat a few more Others, activate the terminal, and jump down. You will have completed a circuit.
- 30Proceed to the next area and save at the save point. Prepare for another boss.
- 31This boss is similar to the one from Phase 1 but stronger with new moves. You cannot use bulldozers this time.
- 32Use Kagero and PK attacks for crush damage.
- 33When the boss walks on the ceiling, stay away as it can kill you by spraying water, creating fish on the ground that attack you. Run and dodge them.
- 34While the boss is on the ceiling, you can use PK attacks or wait for the game to indicate you can use a special object action on the ceiling.
Tips
- Use invisibility and psychokinesis (PK) attacks for high damage, switching to Arashi or Shiden to recharge your PK gauge.
- When facing multiple enemies, prioritize eliminating one threat at a time.
- Use Hypervelocity to heal, but always prioritize avoiding damage.
- During the dual Brain Field attack, prioritize evasion using SAS abilities like Arashi or Kagero.
- If you have damage reduction skills, consider using Brain Field when fighting the remaining single boss.
- For the ceiling-walking boss, use PK attacks or wait for the special object action prompt.
- Some paths may require specific SAS abilities like invisibility or Hypervelocity to traverse.
- Be aware of new enemy types like the Sabbat (confusing fumes) and Yawn (strong, weak points on back).
