    Begin Part 12 by climbing either set of stairs. Collect the ten boxes of shells.

    Prepare for waves of monsters. The objective is to kill all enemies to open the door at the other end.

    Continue fighting monsters as they appear. Near a tree in the middle of the area, find a Health Bottle and four boxes of shells. More health and shells are scattered throughout the level.

    As you approach the tomb, new enemies called Aludran Reptiloid Commons will spawn, firing homing green missiles that can be shot down.

    After defeating all enemies, head towards the tomb. Collect the +50 Health Box and a Rocket Launcher with rocket packs.

    A boss fight against a yellow gargantuan will commence. It fires homing fireballs. Strafe to avoid them and target the boss. It requires 14 rockets to defeat.

    After the boss is dead, enter the tomb door to find a cutscene showing the retrieval of the Gold Ankh.

    Walk down the ramp and kill all enemies. Grab the Health Vial in front of the pillar with the Ankh if needed.

    Head down the left ramp into the next room. Press the two buttons in the side rooms to summon enemies (grunts, Arachnoids, Gnaars, Reptiloids).

    Clear out the summoned enemies, then grab the Gold Ankh. Proceed through the next door.

    Grab the armor and go down the ramp, then follow the path through a narrow doorway. Kill two Gnaars to open the next door.

    Destroy the STATUE if desired, then go down the ramp. You will encounter another STATUE to the left and then take the right path.

    Go forward in the room and up the ramp to find a STATUE and a piece of papyrus. Return to the previous room and go down the ramp.

    Kill the frogs and an Arachnoid. Round the corner in the darkness and press the button, which will cause Skeletons to charge.

    Retrace your steps and take a right into a large room. Grab the heart in the center, triggering an ambush of grunts and Skeletons. Shoot them through the bars with your double Shotgun, then proceed when the bars open.

    Enter the room on the left. Press the button at the foot of the STATUE, then cross the hallway.

    Dive into the pond and grab the Stone Ankh at the bottom.

    Leave the room and go to the right. Pick up the Tommygun in the center. Frogs will spawn from the light in the center; defeat them as they appear.

    Go up the ramp in the corner and continue onward. In the next room, you will find four STATUES.

    Proceed to the next room. If all statues were destroyed earlier, a pendulum will activate. Go right on the cliff. If a pendulum platform is swinging, jump on it and then to the other side to access the secret level. Otherwise, jump into the river.

Secret Level: Moon Mountains

  1. Navigate a series of large, green platforms, defeating enemies and collecting items that spawn on each.
  2. On the last platform, jump to another and follow its path through caves, encountering Gnarrs and grunts.
  3. In the next open area, use your Rocket Launcher to defeat enemies directly forward and down, and Harpies.
  4. Go to the other side, hop down, and enter the next cave. Go into the hole to fall into a lake.

  • To access the secret level, Moon Mountains, you must destroy all statues in the Valley of the Kings level.
  • The yellow gargantuan boss in Valley of the Kings requires 14 rockets to defeat.
  • Aludran Reptiloid Common enemies fire homing green missiles that can be shot down.
  • In the final part of Valley of the Kings, be prepared for ambushes of grunts and Skeletons after grabbing the heart in the center room.
