Alright, let's talk about the Evil Ninjas. These guys are pretty much the bread and butter of Zilla's army in Shadow Warrior Classic and Twin Dragon. You'll be seeing a lot of them, so it's good to know what you're up against. Design and Overview Visually, they're shirtless demons with pale skin, ponytails, and glowing red eyes. They're not exactly subtle. They come in a few flavors, mostly distinguished by the color of their pants and boots: * Brown: These are your basic grunts. They'll shoot you with an Uzi and sometimes toss shurikens. Honestly, they're pretty weak, and if they mess up, they might even take themselves out with their own Uzi. You can usually take them down with a single katana strike. * Red: A step up from the browns. They wear red and fire Uzis, but also toss rockets instead of shurikens. They might even drop rockets when they die. * Orange: These guys wear orange and have the nasty habit of shooting heat-seeking rockets. They can be a real pain in open areas. Keep your distance, and they might drop a heat-seeking card or rockets. * Gray: In gray pants, these ninjas are armed with grenades. Their blast radius is no joke, so these are particularly nasty. They might drop a box of grenades when they go down. * Shadow: These are the most dangerous. They wear musk-green and can turn nearly invisible, blending into the shadows. They're faster and stronger, and they use magic napalm, including a wall of fire. They can also hit you with a flash bomb, which is basically a death sentence if you're not careful. They might drop a flash bomb if you're lucky. * Mercenaries (Tong Hitmen): These only show up in the Wanton Destruction expansion. They look totally different, wearing tuxedos and sunglasses, but they act like Evil Ninjas. Their hat color tells you which variation they are. Strategy * Brown Ninjas: Easy peasy. A katana slice usually does the trick. Just watch out if they swarm you. * Orange and Red Ninjas: Rockets mean you need space. Keep your distance so you have time to dodge their projectiles. The Gray Ninjas with grenades are similar – stay far away to avoid their explosive damage. * Shadow Ninjas: These are your priority targets. They're hard to see, so keep an eye out. Their fireballs are deadly. If you're having trouble spotting them, try using Night Vision Goggles. Gas Grenades or sticky bombs can also help soften them up before you engage directly. Remember, they're especially dangerous when they use that wall of fire attack. Trivia It's funny, despite being called 'Ninjas,' they don't really look like ninjas at all. Also, they're the only regular enemies in Shadow Warrior Classic that actually speak.
