First things first

Get started in Slime Rancher 2 by completing the tutorial, exploring, and setting up your first ranch with basic slimes and corrals.

First, you should complete the tutorial to learn the basics. Then, go explore the Far Far Range. Use your vacpack (a tool to suck up and spit out slimes and items) to interact with the environment.

It is recommended to start by collecting Pink Slimes, Rock Slimes, and Tabby Slimes. Special slimes can be found by waiting until dark.

To create new slime types, feed a slime a different plort (the valuable drops slimes produce). Be cautious: if a slime eats two different plorts, it will become a Tarr. Tarrs are dangerous, aggressive slimes that consume other slimes.

To produce plort, feed a slime its preferred food. Some slimes are picky and will only eat meat or vegetables, but Pink Slimes will eat anything.

You will need to keep your slimes contained within a corral. You can purchase a corral by spending a few newbucks (the in-game currency) at the ranch's buttons.
