The Skill Shop is located to the left of the hub. You can access it once you clear Green Hill Act 2. Here, you can use Skill Points (earned from clearing Stage Acts, Challenges, Rival Battles, and Boss Battles) to purchase Extra Lives, new Skills, and a special item.

- Athleticism: Costs 200 Skill Points. For Both Sonics. Lose less speed running uphill and in water. Available at the Beginning.
- Time Brake: Costs 5000 Skill Points. For Both Sonics. Temporarily slows down time. Available after defeating Time Eater.
- Flame Shield: Costs 4500 Skill Points. For Classic Sonic. Enables midair dashes. Available after clearing Crisis City Act 1 Challenge 4.
- Aqua Shield: Costs 2500 Skill Points. For Classic Sonic. Enables Bound Jumps and eliminates the need to get air. Available after clearing Chemical Plant Act 1 Challenge 3.
- Thunder Shield: Costs 4000 Skill Points. For Classic Sonic. Enables double-jumping. Available after clearing City Escape Act 1 Challenge 2.
- Shield: Costs 1200 Skill Points. For Classic Sonic. Protects you from a single hit. Available at the Beginning.
- Ring Time: Costs 3500 Skill Points. For Classic Sonic. Turns enemies into Rings for a short time. Available after clearing Sky Sanctuary Act 1 Challenge 4 or Crisis City Act 1 Challenge 5.
- Blast Off: Costs 100 Skill Points. For Modern Sonic. Press the X Button when GO! appears to get a free boost. Available at the Beginning.
- Speed Up: Costs 300 Skill Points. For Modern Sonic. Increases Sonic's speed. Available at the Beginning.
- Power Stomp: Costs 800 Skill Points. For Modern Sonic. Create a Shockwave when stomping on ground. Available after clearing Crisis City Act 1 Challenge 1.
- Boost Gauge Up: Costs 2200 Skill Points. For Modern Sonic. Extend the length of your Boost Gauge. Available after clearing Green Hill Act 2 Challenge 5.
- Endless Boost: Costs 3000 Skill Points. For Modern Sonic. The Boost Gauge stays full but you can't get Rings. Available after clearing Rooftop Run Act 2 Challenge 4.
- Sega Genesis Controller: Costs 7777 Skill Points. For Both Sonics. Allows you to play Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. Available at the Beginning.
- Infinite Continues: Costs 1000 Skill Points. For Both Sonics. Get Infinite continues on the Sega Genesis. Available after buying the Sega Genesis Controller.
- Life + 1: Costs 500 Skill Points. For Both Sonics. Gives you one extra life. Available Always.
Collection Room
The Collection Room is a small red room located on the West side of the Hub, past the Skill Shop. Here you can view character bios, listen to music, look at artwork, and watch movies. To add more content, beat the main story and collect all the Red Star Rings and Notes.
