Alright, let's talk about Hector in South of Midnight. He's not exactly a boss you fight head-on, but he's got a few tricky races that'll test your skills. You'll need to beat him in a couple of specific challenges to really get going.

Missions & Strategy:

1. Lose The Cops

   Hector wants to race, but the cops show up first. He'll tell you to ditch them and meet him at a warehouse. Your main goal here is to lose the police pursuit.

   • Recommended Cars: 1971 Bestia, Citi Turbo, Torrida.
   • Strategy: The easiest way to shake the cops is to drive into the canal. Try to go over the dam jump and use your nitrous to get away. If that doesn't work, don't be afraid to restart the mission until you nail it. Once you've lost the cops, head to the warehouse Hector mentioned. Be careful, but cops on bridges usually aren't a problem. Pull into the finish line to complete this part.

   • Block Party

     This race takes place in the rain, so picking a car with good handling is key. You'll be racing through checkpoints, some of which require you to crash through obstacles.

     • Recommended Cars: Citi Turbo, Interna, Torrida.
     • Reward: Slipstream Turbo.
     • Strategy: Start by following the pack to the first set of checkpoints near the stadium. After the first checkpoint, crash through the glass doors on your right. Hit the next checkpoint, then turn right to get another. Head for the southern checkpoints next, taking out the northwest, south, and northeast ones. You'll end up facing north. Look for a set of stairs on your left that you might remember from Gina's races; drive over them to reach the next northbound street. Hit the two northern checkpoints, then the southern one. Now, head for the finish line street and cross the bridge into the industrial district. Use your nitrous here to gain speed. Get two checkpoints heading west, then turn south for the next one. Cross the bridge quickly and aim for the finish line before your opponents.

     • Slipstream Chicanes

       Now that you have the Slipstream Turbo, it's time to use it. The car in front of you starts a bit slow, so get right behind it to fill your Slipstream Turbo (SST) meter quickly and get a good boost off the line. The rest of the race is pretty straightforward with a few 90-degree turns.

       • Recommended Cars: Citi Turbo, 1971 Bestia, Torrida.
       • Reward: Monstruo.
       • Strategy: To save time at the end, look for a warehouse jump. After crossing the canal on the bridge, check the left side of the intersection for the area where you started the last race. Drive through there to hit a ramp onto a warehouse roof. Drive across the roof to another ramp that'll take you back to the street, right near the finish line. This can give you a nice edge.
