This section details various decorative secrets and Easter eggs found within Stardew Valley. These elements add unique flair and hidden interactions to the game.

Hats can be placed on children, horses, cats, dogs, Rarecrows, sea urchins in fish tanks, and mannequins. They can be removed by holding another hat and clicking on the target, or by breaking the Rarecrow. Hats on sea urchins can be removed by opening the fish tank inventory.

Lucky Purple Shorts have numerous hidden uses:

• Placing them in the Luau soup yields a unique response from the Governor and Lewis.
• Putting them in the Stardew Valley Fair grange display disqualifies the player and earns 750 star tokens from Lewis. Marnie also has unique dialogue.
• Tailoring them with a gold bar creates Trimmed Lucky Purple Shorts, which can be worn for amusing reactions from Marnie and Lewis.
• Giving Trimmed Lucky Purple Shorts to Lewis while he's on Ginger Island causes him to wear them as beach attire for 28 days.
• Attempting to gift them to Marnie results in unique dialogue.
• Placing a staircase in Lewis's bedroom leads to a maze with the shorts; picking them up spawns a cursed, attacking Lucky Purple Shorts.
• Using them in the tackle slot of a fishing rod changes the bobber style to a unique Lucky Purple Shorts bobber. They also prevent tackle in the second slot from losing durability on an Advanced Iridium Rod.
• Lucky Purple Shorts can be placed into Fish Tanks as decoration, but Trimmed Lucky Purple Shorts cannot.

Dove Children, achieved by turning children into doves, unlock several Easter eggs:

• A mysterious telephone call with an otherworldly voice: " _You place the receiver to your ear, and are met with a roiling, abrasive static. But wait... beneath it all, you can make out something else... an otherworldly voice... 'Y-O-U H-A-V-E F-O-R-S-A-K-E-N U-S'_". This stops after unlocking the cursed doll spawn.
• Watching TV on Fall 26 shows an Ancient Doll with an eerie message, and an Ancient Doll pops out of the TV. This doll will then attack players in front of the Dark Shrine of Selfishness, turning into a black bird when slain. Killing it counts towards the Monster Eradication goal for bats and awards Combat XP.
• Players may catch an Ancient Doll once while fishing on the Four-Corners Farm.
• If multiple children are turned into doves, there's a 15% chance they'll fly past in formation at the Summit.
• Doves may appear at a Bird House on the farm after using the Dark Shrine of Selfishness.

In multiplayer, if a player's unique multiplayer ID is divisible by 111, their music will sound off. This affects the music emote and the piano in Elliott's Cabin.

Placing Milk, Large Milk, Goat Milk, Large Goat Milk, or Cookies on a table before the Feast of the Winter Star will result in them being replaced by a Mystery Box the next morning.
