In the near future, Earth's technological advancement has led to its decline. Suddenly, unimaginable Super Monsters appear worldwide, destroying buildings and ignoring human panic. Human military forces are powerless against them. The monsters begin to question who among them is the strongest, leading to a great power battle. The ultimate natural destruction site, "The Land of Civilization," becomes the final battleground for the 4 victorious Superpower Monsters.

This guide covers the King of Monsters game. Here are the differences between the Arcade and Sega Genesis versions:

• Neo-Geo / Arcade Version: Features 6 playable monsters, 6 different locations with 12 stages, and supports 2 Player Vs or Co-op against 2 computers, with up to 4 monsters on screen in Co-op.
• Sega Genesis Version: Features 4 playable monsters (Woo and Poison Ghost are not included), 4 different locations with 8 stages, and supports 2 Player Vs but not 2 Player Co-op, with only 2 monsters on screen at a time.
