Learn about the four Divine Powers in The Legend of Zelda: Mipha's Grace, Revali's Gale, Urbosa's Fury, and Daruk's Protection, and how to use them.

As Link progresses through The Legend of Zelda, he'll encounter four dungeons. Completing these will each reward Link with a powerful divine power. These four abilities are extremely powerful and as such have lengthy cooldowns behind them. Using them wisely however can make progression through the game significantly easier than it would otherwise be.

The four divine powers include:

  • Mipha's Grace – This is a powerful ability which will completely restore Link's heart container (and add a few extra heart containers) when you die. This has a lengthy cooldown but is very useful to have at the ready – especially when taking on one of the game's boss fights.
  • Revali's Gale – This is an exploration-related ability that will enable you to create your own updrafts which can then be used with the paraglider to scale mountains, towers and high points very quickly and to get around the world map much quicker. It can be used up to three times before triggering a cooldown.
  • Urbosa's Fury – This ability is combat related and by holding down a charge attack, Link is able to summon a series of lightning strikes that will land in a large area of effect around Link, inflicting massive damage to enemies it touches and making group fights a lot easier. This can be used three times before it falls back to a cooldown.
  • Daruk's Protection – This ability will create a temporary bubble shield which can protect Link from incoming damage. You'll need to hold the button for the shield to appear and release it for the shield to dissipate. Once the shield is depleted, it will be unusable for a short while until the cooldown is up once again.
Tips
  • Divine powers have long cooldowns, so use them strategically during challenging encounters or for difficult traversal.
  • Mipha's Grace is invaluable for survival, especially during boss fights where a single mistake can be costly.
  • Revali's Gale is excellent for quickly reaching high vantage points or traversing large distances on the world map.
  • Urbosa's Fury can turn the tide of battle, particularly against groups of enemies, by dealing massive area damage.
  • Daruk's Protection offers a temporary shield against damage, useful for blocking powerful enemy attacks.
